Mission: Developing leaders of change through innovative educational processes that generate commitment to yourself and the collective good.
Values: Self-Knowledge- Balance-Commitment
CLASS DESCRIPTION
General Description: The Geometry Course is designed to motivate in-depth analysis of segments, angles, triangles, quadrilaterals, polyhedral, circles, spheres, congruency, polygons and transformations as they relate to both abstract mathematical concepts and real-world problem situations. Emphasis will be placed on developing reasoning and problem solving skills through engaging activities. Students will be required to use different technological tools and manipulatives to discover and explain the content. Students will be required to create a connection from Algebra I and Algebra II to geometric phenomena.
General Objectives:
Identify the fundamental concepts of geometric skills.
Learn to establish the validity of other assertions through logical deductions. The ability to create formal logical arguments and proofs in a geometric setting.

I. CLASSROOM RULES
1. Be on time to class every day.2. Be responsible for communication, work deadlines, quality, and setting goals.3. Raise your hand and wait for teacher’s permission before speak or go out.4. All questions, comments or interventions must be strictly about the class.5. Be prepared for class with all materials needed.6. Be respectful of all people and property.7. Be prepared to give your best on every assignment every day.
II. EVALUATION CRITERIA
A. Classwork (35%): complete lined notebook and folder with all the classroom practices. It will be accumulative. B. Class Participation (5%): Student’s active role in the class during an entire marking period. It will be graded using a detailed Rubric given to students prior
to evaluation. C. Tests/Quizzes (20%): these are the accumulative of all quizzes and/or exams giving in a marking period D. Projects (15%): to be assigned by the teacher at the beginning of each chapter. E. Homework and Practices (25%): flipped classroom and workbook assignments.
