Eligibility
This is open to Swinburne Sarawak alumni who enrol on one of the Master by Coursework programs at Swinburne Sarawak.

This award is open to diploma graduates from a Swinburne Sarawak educational partner institution which has an official Credit Transfer Arrangement (CTA) with the university.

The following general terms and conditions are applicable across the range of awards and bursaries offered by Swinburne Sarawak:
g The award/bursary is only valid for studies at Swinburne Sarawak g The awarding of the award/bursary is conditional upon payment of full term fee g The offer an award/ bursary shall be based on the official academic results obtained in a single sitting g Only completed application application forms received by the closing date will be entertained g Award/bursary recipients must continue to study full-time throughout the award or bursary period (except for Swinburne Sarawak Master by Coursework Bursary in which part-time students are also eligible) g The recipient shall maintain a full study load in each term (normally four academic units of study or more) g A student is entitled to only one award or bursary g A student who has been awarded an award and/or bursary by Swinburne Sarawak or any other institution shall not be eligible for another award or bursary g Award or bursary recipients shall contribute to Swinburne Sarawak’s activities including participation in promotional activities when required during their period of study g All decisions made by the Swinburne Sarawak Award Committee are final. Appeals will not be entertained g Successful applicants will be notified via an award/bursary offer letter g All awards or bursaries are to be given as course tuition fee rebate only and cannot be exchanged for cash g The award or bursary is not-transferable g The award or bursary shall be forfeited if the student withdraws from the course or transfers to Swinburne Australia g Once the award/bursary is forfeited, it shall not be reinstated g Swinburne Sarawak shall not be responsible for any application form that is misplaced, lost or failed to reach the designated department of Swinburne Sarawak g The award/bursary shall be forfeited if the student fails to abide by the rules and regulations of Swinburne Sarawak g Unless otherwise approved, each student is only entitled to one award/bursary/financial assistance scheme/promotional benefits offered by Swinburne Sarawak and its group at any one time. In the event that the student qualifies for more than one award, he/she must choose which of these he/she wishes to apply and accept g Approval must be obtained from the Registrar of Swinburne Sarawak for leave of absence. The award shall recommence once the recipient resumes his/her studies at Swinburne Sarawak. External Scholarships2016 MELOLISA Foundation Scholarship
MELOLISA Foundation, a charitable organisation, is actively involved in benevolent activities in Malaysia. It awards scholarships to deserving Malaysian students to pursue their studies at universities in Malaysia.
Eligibility
g The applicant must be a Malaysian citizen g Priority will be given to applicants whose family monthly per capita income is not more than RM1,500
Award Value
The maximum award value shall not be more than the tuition fee of the degree or foundation course. The amount to be awarded shall be at the discretion of MELOLISA Foundation and shall be reviewed on a yearly basis.
Criteria
g The applicant must have good academic results for SPM and/or STPM. Diploma students from other institutions of higher learning must have a CGPA of 2.8 and above g The applicant has received an offer of study by the University g Priority shall be given to an applicant who shall be the first in the family to graduate with a bachelor’s degree g Recipients of the scholarship must maintain a CGPA of 2.8 and above throughout the course of study at the University to continue to be eligible for the scholarship g A scholarship recipient shall return all monies received if he/she transfers overseas, withdraws or drops out from his/her program or fails to continue to be eligible for the scholarship without a good reason for such failure. Each case shall be reviewed and determined independently.
In addition to the financial standing and academic achievements of the applicant, the organisation will also take into consideration the following:
g Attributes which indicate that the applicant is likely to become an outstanding citizen g Personal qualities and character, and the extent to which the applicant has demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities g Participations and achievements in extra-curricular activities including sports and community services
It is compulsory for the recipient of the scholarship to join and complete a course at an outward bound school identified by the MELOLISA Foundation before the final year of his/her degree program. The fee for participation shall be sponsored by MELOLISA Foundation whereas the transportation cost to the outward bound school shall be borne by the individual scholarship recipients respectively.
Closing date
The closing date for application for the MELOLISA Foundation Scholarship is the third Monday after the commencement of the semester. Applicants may apply for the scholarship as soon they receive a Letter of Offer for enrolment from the University.

- Academic result transcripts - Parents’ salary slips (latest 3 months) or business statement, and the latest Income Tax Return Form - Applicant’s self-statement demonstrating the need for financial assistance, including stating the number of siblings, their age and their respective level of education, together with any other information to support the application
4. Applications are to be sent back to the Marketing & Recruitment Office of the University.
The scholarship award recipient shall be bonded to work with MELOLISA Foundation, its associated or related companies and/or with the University for a period of three years unless he/she is released from this condition. The MELOLISA Foundation shall have a three-month option to employ the scholarship recipient after his/her graduation. The recipient may apply for release from this condition.
All scholarship award recipients must study fulltime throughout the scholarship period.
Yayasan Sarawak BESTARI Scholarship
Criteria
g Open to Sarawakian students who are interested to pursue any degree program at Swinburne Sarawak g Open to all students who have completed matriculation/Pre-U/ A- Level/Diploma/STPM or equivalent g Must have a CGPA of 3.5 and above or all grade As in STPM
Scope of Sponsorship
g Annual tuition fees g Living allowance (hostel fee and daily expenses) g Transportation (once a year; applicable for outstation students only) g Book allowance g Thesis allowance (if any) g Computer (one-off) g May be granted an opportunity to complete part of his/her studies at Swinburne Melbourne for up to one semester

Application Procedure
g A Personal Identification Number (PIN) is required before applying for the loan online. The PIN is valid for six months and can be purchased at Bank Simpanan Nasional(BSN) for RM5.00
g Applicants must open a personal account with CIMB bank. The account will be used by PTPTN to disburse of the loan g Applicants must open a Skim Simpanan Pendidikan Nasional (SSPN) account at the nearest PTPTN branch or any participating bank. The SSPN account is for the repayment of the PTPTN loan g Supporting documents are to be submitted only after the application is successful
Application Date and Announcement of Results
For each term, there are two closing dates:
g For Semester 1, the closing dates are 15th February and 15th March g For Semester 2, the closing dates are 15th September and 15th October
