The Safety Module delivers a set of tools that speed the modeling of vehicle impact analyses including crash tools, dummy and barrier libraries and offers guidance for FMVSS, ECE and Insurance Institute test scenarios.

The Safety module streamlines the model development process. It reduces the amount of time and effort required to create finite element models and it fosters consistency across modeling and analysis tasks.

Using Safety, many common impact & occupant safety test conditions can be modeled quickly and easily, providing highly accurate, informative results. It offers an extensive crash tool library, which includes built-in dummy models, barriers and impactors. It allows engineers to position finite element dummy models, add seat belts and evaluate effects such as dummy and seat interactions.

An airbag folder features a complete toolset for typical fold patterns. It allows tucking, rolling and folding. Results can be saved and bag re-folded with the same pattern.

The plug-in provides a user environment that is tailored to the engineer performing shock and vibration testing and analysis. Parameters are defined through a special interface that allows the user to easily input the testing parameters and even create a series of simulations from a range of drop heights or impact angles with a single command.

Inventium’s FSI tools allow the user to create advanced fluid-structure interaction simulations, automatically creating ALE mesh zones and explosive pressure sources. For use with the finite element software LS-DYNA®, the user can quickly set up LS-DYNA® models with multiple fluid zones and variable charge shapes using a simple parametric model definition.

The system includes a complete element and material library to create structural models, which interact realistically with fluid models. Inventium provides easy to use tools to efficiently define these parameters, as well as the fluid-structure interactions.

FSI Simulations require special tools to aid in the visualization of the data. Inventium provides an extensive set of tools that engineers can use to view the simulation results, assess both the fluid and structure behaviors and plot the simulation results. Fluid motion and pressure visualizations and structural deformation and stress visualizations provide the information necessary to interpret the simulation results. Curves of various responses can be created directly from the simulation data.

Inventium provides these tools in a customizable environment which can display multiple models and results in a single instance of the software, allowing the user to query and compare several simulation results simultaneously.
