Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley met with the Vice Presidents of the National Building Trades in December of 2008.
He set a goal of doubling the amount of Apprenticeship Programs in our State.

At this meeting 2 Apprenticeship Navigators were hired immediately through Workforce Development to train Maryland’s
One Stop Workforce System Staff about the Registered Apprenticeship System and
augment marketing duties currently not being performed by ATR’s.
