Program Goals Park district summer camps have been a staple for children in the Anderson community since 1984. We care-fully select caring and devoted camp counselors to provide fun and meaningful experiences in a safe, outdoor environment, and lead according to the six pillars of character: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, caring, citizenship and fairness. Character Counts!
Each of the Anderson Township Park District’s camps have enrollment limits and registration is first come, first served. Camp deadlines are the Wednesday prior to the chosen camp’s start date.
The enclosed registration form includes emergency information, release of liability, transportation authorization, and registration and payment information.
Summer Day Camp: Full payment is required at the time of registration for the first week attending camp. Additional weeks require a $25 non-refundable deposit per child per week, also paid at registration. The remaining balance is due the Wednesday prior to the chosen camp.
Deposits: The $25 deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. If a change to the registration is required, the $25 will be forfeited. If the remaining balance has been paid, it may be transferred or refunded if the request is made by the Wednesday prior to the chosen camp.
Mini Camp: Payment for each camp selected must be paid in full at registration. Changes to the registration or cancellations require a $10 administration fee; the remaining balance may be refunded or transferred to other camps by request only.
Travel Camp: Travel Camp must be paid in full at registration. Changes to the registration or cancellations require a $25 adminis-tration fee; the remaining balance may be refunded or transferred to other camps by request only.
Payments and Refunds
Registration Policy
Payment and a completed registration form must be received before the child is officially enrolled in camp; one form per child please. All registration change requests must be made by the Wednesday prior to the chosen camp, or the total payment will be forfeited. There is a $25 fee for returned checks.
Summer Day Camp (9 a.m.–4 p.m.): . $150 per week = Resident, first child. $135 per week = Resident, each additional child . $160 per week = Non-resident, each child Summer Day Camp with Extended Camp (7 a.m.–6 p.m.): Extended camp is required for any hours outside of 9 a.m.–4 p.m., and is an additional $30 per child, each week. . $180 per week = Resident, first child. $165 per week = Resident, each additional child. $190 per week = Non-resident, each child
Part-Time Camp (9 a.m.–4 p.m.): Limited spots are available for parents who would like to send their child to camp only one or two days a week. Please contact the Beech Acres Park RecPlex office prior to registering for part-time spots, (513) 388-5082. Days may not be switched once registered. Summer Day Camp includes daily swimming at Coney Island’s Sunlite Pool, games, crafts, and a weekly field trip! During core camp hours, campers are divided by age, 5–8 and 9–12. Children need a sack lunch with drink each day; afternoon snack is provided. Confirmation and information packet will be distributed after enrollment.
Field Trip Days: Tuesdays for ages 5–8 and Wednesdays for ages 9–12. Field trips are subject to change.
Time: 9 a.m.–4 p.m. or extended camp, 7–9 a.m. and 4–6 p.m.
Location: Beech Acres Park RecPlex, 6915 Beechmont Ave.

Travel camp is for campers who like adventure! Explorers go on a different field trip each day, and the week ends with a “camp-out” in the park district gym on Thursday night! Pick up times vary daily according to field trip. Registration is first come, first served!
Time: Drop off is at 9:30 a.m. each day. For an additional fee, extended camp is available from 7 a.m.–6 p.m. Registration Deadline: July 8
