THIS MONTH’S FEATURED INSTRUMENT FOR SALE
REFURBISHED MASS SPECTROMETERS
WATERS MICROMASS Q-Tof PREMIERThe Waters Q-TOF Premier is a hybrid quadrupole TOF instrument features Lock Mass spray and MSe, which allows this instrument to skip the isolation step for MSMS, greatly increasing the effective duty cycle when run in this mode. Key to the expression analysis is the stability and reproducibility of the nanoACQUITY UPLC sys-tem and the high pressure 1.7ì reversed phase capillary column,
which afford the instrument excel-lent chromatographic properties. This instrument is also capable of intact protein mass determinations by direct ESI infusion and a full suit of data analysis software is avail-able from Waters. Please contact us for complete used and refur-bished Micromass QTOF Premier /Q-TOF Premier system, warran-ty and service contract details (Waters QTOF Premier).

AGILENT 6210 TOF WITH 1100
• The Agilent 6210 TOF LC/MS ( LCMS ) System is an orthog-onal-axis time-of-flight mass spectrometer (oa-TOF). That is, the ions reaching the time-of-flight chamber are impelled in a direction perpendicular to their original path. You can set up an Agilent time-of-flight mass spectrometer system (TOF) in several configurations:
• For normal flow LC/MS with a binary pump, quaternary pump, well-plate sampler (or autosampler) and ESI , APCI, APPI or MMI ion sources
• For microflow LC/MS with a capillary pump, micro well-plate sampler and ESI, APCI or MMI ion source
• For nanoflow LC/MS with a nanopump, micro well-plate sampler and nanospray source or dual nanospray source
• TOF system with an AP-MALDI source• Available Sources:• ESI – Electrospray Ionization• APCI – Atmospheric Pressure Chemical Ionization• APPI – Atmospheric Pressure Photo Ionization• MALDI – Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption Ionization• MMI - Multimode Ionization• The system uses the same Agilent MassHunter Software to
enable these advantages, although the AP-MALDI TOF system uses only the TOF portion of the software.

SPECIFICS• Principle of operation:• Ions are produced in the source and transferred to the mass spectrometer via two cones. The ions follow a
Z-shaped pathway, while the neutrals and the solvent go straight. The first quadrupole can be used as an ion guide (RF only) in MS mode, or as a precursor mass selector for MS/MS. The ions are collided with argon in the collidion hexapole, and the products are analyzed in the second quad.
• This instrument is a very sensitive mass spectrometer, using Multiple Reaction Monitoring mode (MRM).
