NEW DELHI, July 30:
Tomato prices, which haveskyrocketed up to Rs 100/kg,are more likely to decline overthe next fortnight as suppliesfrom southern and other grow-ing states are expected toimprove, said a senior ICARofficial.
Retail tomato prices havegone through the roof for morethan a month now in most partsof the country and are still rul-ing high up to 100 per kg, as perthe data maintained by the con-sumer affairs ministry.
Tomato prices in metroswere ruling at Rs 95/kg inKolkata, Rs 92/kg in Delhi, Rs80/kg in Mumbai and Rs 55/kgin Chennai on June 29, as perthe ministry data. (PTI)
