RadioFrequency
● The use of Plasma heat generated from a probe's electrodes to ablate(remove) tissue or coagulate bleeding areas
● Uses a rate of oscillation in the range of around 3KHz to 300GHz(this corresponds to the frequency of radio waves, and the alternating currents which carry radio signals).
● “RF” usually refers to electrical oscillations and not mechanical, but mechanical oscillations do exist.
Up to Date Technology
● Cuts out soft tissue rapidly while precisely sculpting the soft tissue
● Produces a unobstructed image
-Things normally hidden from air bubbles and debris
● Its a plug and go and user friendly
-generator and plug and play probes make it easy for rapid resection and ablation.
● Contains grated suction ports
-Constant flow of irrigating fluid which contributes to a clear field of view
