ALC FORUM 2017ALC Forum is the largest and most influential gathering of leaders and key policy makers in the Australian logistics industry, debating and discussing the critical issues impacting the efficiency and safety of Australia’s supply chains.
On behalf of the Australian Logistics Council, it is with great pleasure I welcome you to Australia’s premier freight logistics and supply chain event – ALC Forum 2017.
ALC Forum lives up to its reputation as a high profile, excellent value, freight logistics policy forum.
With the theme Getting the Supply Chain Right, this year’s Forum will bring together key industry leaders, policy makers and stakeholders to debate and discuss the critical and significant infrastructure policy issues on the national agenda.
Leading speakers, panel sessions and an exhibition area will contribute to the exchange of ideas and to debate topics relevant to our industry.
ALC Forum 2017 will focus on the required content of the National Freight and Supply Chain Strategy, the most important recommendation made in ALC’s election priorities document, Getting the Supply Chain Right.
In the Annual Infrastructure Statement in November 2016, Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull committed the Australian Government to developing a National Freight and Supply Chain Strategy, a commitment that was strongly supported by ALC. This reflects our policy supporting a national strategy incorporating the various and interlinked components of Australia’s supply chains to achieve better long term planning outcomes and appropriate investment decisions.
Outputs from ALC Forum 2017 will form the basis of ALC submissions on the National Freight and Supply Chain Strategy.
ALC Forum 2017 is organised by and for industry, and we hope you enjoy your Forum experience.
Ian Murray AMChairmanAustralian Logistics Council
