Ultimate Balcony DiningEnjoy an intimate, romantic dining experience with breathtaking views and a special meal served by your own dedicated waitstaff on your stateroom balcony. Ulitmate Balcony Dining features a hosted cocktail party, fresh flowers, champagne and a deluxe four-course meal featuring delicate sweet lobster tail or juicy steak among many available delicacies.

For those who want to start the day with a romantic meal, opt for a breakfast which includes specialty pastries, fresh fruits, quiche, smoked salmon and other special treats served with a half bottle of French champagne.

Other Casual Dining OptionsEnjoy delicious entrées in the buffet or grab some hand-tossed Naples-style pizza out on deck. You can even stay-in and eat well with complimentary room service.

Horizon Court

Open from 5 am to 11 pm (12 am on select itineraries), the Horizon Court offers a wide selection of buffet meals or snacks. The top-of-the-ship restaurant features floor-to-ceiling windows with stunning sea views as a backdrop for a quick breakfast or casual dinner.

When you visit Horizon Court, you'll find an experience that is more in keeping with a dining room than a traditional buffet. Tables are pre-set with cutlery and napkins and gracious Princess servers will be standing by to provide beverage service to each table, whether you order self-service selections or bar items.

Poolside options

Out on deck, enjoy a fresh, cooked-to-order hamburger, chicken sandwich or hot dog from our grill, or opt for a freshly-baked slice of hand-tossed pizza. Or grab a cone of ice cream at our ice cream bar. It's all conveniently available to you poolside on the open decks.

Afternoon Tea

Indulge in afternoon tea with finger sandwiches, pastries, scones, cookies, music and white-glove service. It's the perfect interlude between sunning out on deck and a star-studded evening at sea. Enjoy a wide selection of premium teas — from Earl Grey to herbal infusions. And of course there's coffee, if you prefer. The choice is up to you.

Pub Lunch*

Step into the Wheelhouse Bar onboard for a taste of British tradition. You'll find a menu of favorites advertised on chalkboards and displayed on counters for an authentic pub feel including fish & chips or a hearty Ploughman's Lunch.* Locations may vary from ship to ship.

Room Service

You may call for personal, complimentary room service at any time of the day or night. To have continental breakfast delivered to the stateroom, fill out the breakfast card included in the stateroom portfolio (one is also placed on the pillow) and hang it out at night on the stateroom door in order to receive delivery the next morning at the time of your choosing.

The complimentary room service menu includes sandwiches, salads, a selection of hot dishes and delicacies from the pastry shop; plus, coffee, iced tea and milk are available 24-hours a day!

Food & Dining

Your choice of Anytime orTraditional DiningA sumptuous variety of dining options awaits you on every voyage. Princess offers you the choice of Traditional Dining with fixed time and seating, or Anytime Dining with the flexibility to dine when and with whom you choose.

Traditional Dining is the classic cruise experience, allowing you to dine at set times with the same table mates and wait staff each evening.

Anytime Dining* offers more flexibility, giving you the freedom to dine with whom you choose, anytime between 5:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. in a selection of elegant, upscale restaurants.

Both options offer menus featuring creatively-prepared appetizers, entrees and desserts that change each day of your voyage - as well as several healthy Lotus Spa selections.* Not available on Sun, Dawn, and Sea Princess (while in Australia), Ocean, or Pacific Princess.

Dining options to match any moodOn tonight's menu? A signature Princess® pasta – served with freshly-prepared sauces. Or perhaps grilled halibut, perfectly complimented by a chilled glass of chardonnay. Another night, it could be homemade Italian pizza by the pool. That's the beauty of dining on a Princess ship – there's always something to match whatever your mood might be.

Bayou Cafe & SteakhouseLive music ushers you into our New Orleans-style restaurant, the Bayou Café & Steakhouse – a first of its kind at sea. A spicy mixture of French, Spanish and

African influences, New Orleans cuisine is one of the oldest culture-driven cooking styles in American history.

Here, passengers will enjoy traditional Cajun-and Creole-influenced dishes such as peel-and-eat shrimp, gumbos, jambalaya, crawfish and a host of fun drink selections that will quickly take you down to the “Big Easy”.

The Chef's TableThe Chef’s Table is designed as a special treat for dining enthusiasts, and offers the rare opportunity to be welcomed into the inner sanctum of the ship's galley to enjoy a full evening of memorable sights, tastes and conversation hosted by the executive chef.

While many passengers are able to enjoy galley tours during the quiet off-hours, the Chef's Table experience takes interested diners behind the scenes during the height of dinner preparation where they'll also enjoy Champagne and hors d'oeuvres, followed by a special multi-course tasting dinner paired with selected wines in the dining room.

The Chef's Table begins when the Maitre d' personally escorts the passengers to the galley where they can observe the bustle of dinner-hour preparations and meet the executive chef, plus enjoy Champagne with appetizers. The chef previews the details of the menu he created for that evening, and the group is welcomed to their special table in the dining room.

The multi-course menu is specially created by the chef, and is not offered anywhere else on the ship. The fare might include anything from a focus on regional cuisine to a showcase of indigenous ingredients from a recent port. Each course is accompanied by a detailed explanation of special features, preparation methods, and tasting suggestions. Specially selected wines complement the meal. During the dessert course, the chef rejoins the group at their private table to participate in a discussion about the evening's meal, answer questions, and share culinary secrets perfected during many years of experience at sea and on land.

Additionally, each couple at the Chef's Table will receive a personalized, autographed copy of Princess' best-selling cookbook, Courses, A Culinary Journey, which has sold more than 100,000 copies worldwide and is available on amazon.com. Passengers will also enjoy a complimentary photo taken at the private table with the chef.

The Chef's Table* experience can be reserved by up to 10 passengers per night, at an additional cost. Reservations are made onboard through the ship's DINE telephone line or in person at the dining reservations table set up on the first day of the cruise.

*Not available on Sun, Dawn and Sea Princess while in Australia.

Norwegian Fjords CruisesNorway's Geiranger Fjord, lined by soaring snow-capped mountains and fabled waterfalls, is a World Heritage Site that defies description. The stark wonders of North Cape and remote towns like Longyearbyen and Tromso await further north in the Land of the Midnight Sun.

Scandinavian, Russia & the Baltic Sea CruisesVikings and Norse explorers once sailed these waters and you can too on a Scandinavian cruise, en route to places like cosmopolitan Oslo, the 14 islands of Stockholm, the Finnish capital of Helsinki and the Old City of Tallinn, where time has seemingly stood still. Few places can match St. Petersburg for sheer opulence. Known as the “Venice of the North,” this grand city is home to such treasures as the world famous State Hermitage Museum, Peterhof and Catherine palaces, as well as elaborate parks and magnificent cathedrals. Bergen

At a glance...

We went to the Norwegian Fjords in July from Southampton on the Crown Princess for one week. The embarkation was superb, the ship

was beautiful, this was our 7th cruise and found the food they served was the tastiest we have had on any other ship we have been on, tender steaks fresh fish etc. This was by far the most relaxing itinerary we have been on and the most scenic. All the staff were great, the ship never felt overcrowded. The shows, hypnotist which we went to see twice, the classical singer, the pianist were all great. We had an outside room which was spacious with plenty of hanging space for our clothes. We were so lucky with the weather too!

ALASKAWith over 40 years’ experience, Princess Cruises is the number one tour operator in the ‘Great Land’ of Alaska, so who better to introduce you to the breathtaking scenery, magnificent wildlife and unique history of this vast region. The towering glaciers of Alaska’s stunning coastline are only half the story – you will be taken 300 miles deeper into the heart of Alaska where Denali National Park, soaring Mt. McKinley and incredible wildlife reign supreme.

Glistening Glaciers, Amazing Wildlife, Gold Rush History & Stunning National Parks

Things you mustSee & Do

• Sled Dog Demonstration & Ride

• Alaska Adventure Walking Tour

• Black Bear ATV Adventure

• Salmon Fishing by Raft

• Watch Wildlife in Denali National Park

• Ride the Rails of the Historic Alaska Railroad

• Cruise Glacier Bay National Park

When is the best time of year to visit Alaska? You can’t go wrong visiting Alaska anytime between May and September. The days are long & nature is in full bloom. Peak season is mid-June to mid-August.

What clothing would I take when going to Alaska?Alaska is very casual both in the evenings, as well as the day. Casual, active sportswear is the best option, as you will likely be enjoying tours and activities outdoors. You’ll want comfortable clothes and good walking shoes, and the ability to be layered for everything from sunny afternoons to chilly nights. As the weather can be unpredictable, a warm jacket is advisable.

When is the best time to see wildlife? Early June there is more wildlife viewing as young are born, and migrating to better feeding areas in the summer. If you are interested in seeing other wildlife such as Moose, Dall sheep, Arctic Fox, mountain goats and bears, try to extend your stay to include a few nights in Anchorage or Denali National Park. Whales can usually be seen June through September. You may see Humpback, Orcas, Sea Otters, Beavers, Dolphin & Porpoises.

What is mobile phone/wireless signal like?Given the areas through which you will be travelling, wireless reception may be limited or in some cases, non-existent. Please take this into consideration prior to your departure so that your family and friends are aware.

Can I see a glacier close up? Cruise ships carry their passengers close to glaciers in Glacier Bay National Park, at Hubbard Glacier near Yakutat and Columbia Glacier near Valdez.

Which side of the ship is best for viewing glaciers? While we can understand that one may think that the right side of the ship (starboard side) is better for scenery on a Northbound cruise and the left side (port side) better on a Southbound cruise but this isn’t true. When cruising the Inside Passage, there is scenery on both sides of the ship and when you are entering the fjords in Alaska, the viewing will be equally good from both sides of the ship over the duration of your cruise vacation. In other words, during your cruise, you’ll see scenery from both sides of the ship.
