History

Fonroche Géothermie expertise
→ Teams are experimented in geothermal energy, drilling, geosciences and geothermal unit maintenance
Group presentation
French context overview
→ Profitable geology in France with its deep sedimentary basins → Well known territory by underground specialists as the BRGM (The French's national geoscience institution) and O&G datas. → Fonroche target 80 MWe and 300 MWth on 2030 , for 400 MW€ investment → Feed In tariff at 200 €/MWhel + heat bonus (up to 80€/Mwhel)
7
Industrialisation of the French sector
Cost, avaibility and adapted production tools control :
• Integrated drilling operations
• Creation of FORAGELEC a subsidiary specialized in deep geothermal drilling
WHY :
– Geothermal ROI far less than O&G so cannot support O&G cost&risk as is.
– Although, deep geothermal needs O&G engineering
– So each well has to be pushed to success with the right drilling tool and with drilling rig cashflow feeding inhouse geothermal project companies
8
Fonroche’s approach
9
→ Fonroche Geothermie offers energy three solutions:
• Electricity production : Transformation of thermal energy into mechanical then electrical energy through a Organic Rankine Cycle process • Production of industrial cooling : Use for district cooling (buildings), or numerous industrial processes using absorption refrigeration cycles • Heat production : For district heating, (houses or offices) or compatible industrial processes
