GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONSPLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE ENTERING
1. All work must be new since August 2010 and in newcondition.2. Entry forms can be obtained by calling the ExhibitionOffice or at our web site: www.peterboroughex.ca . TheJunior Division has its own form.3. All classes will use the entry form provided and forward itto the Exhibition Office by July 29, 2011. Exhibitors must pick
up their entry tags at the Exhibition Office on or beforeThursday August 11, 2011 or when the entry form issubmitted in person. See page 6 for How to information.

4. Exhibitors are allowed only ONE entry per section in allclasses. For example, if a class has 10 sections, you areallowed one entry in each of the 10 sections.5. The Homecraft Committee will be in the GymnasticsBuilding on Thursday August 11 from 2 PM to 6 PM toreceive exhibits for judging. LATE ENTRIES WILL NOT BEACCEPTED. EXHIBITS MUST BE READY FOR JUDGING WHICHCOMMENCES AT 6 PM. Only judges and Homecraftcommittee members and helpers are allowed in the areaduring the entire judging process.**All others will be asked to leave.6. The Homecraft Committee reserves the right to open allentry tags after judging has been completed.
7. ALL EXHIBITS WILL REMAIN IN THE GYMNASTICSBUILDING UNTIL SUNDAY AUGUST 14 UNTIL THE PICK UPTIME. Failure to comply with this rule MAY result in forfeitureof prize money. ENTRIES WILL BE PICKED UP DURING THETIME NOTED ON THE IDENTIFICATION CARD WHICH MUSTBE SHOWN TO RECEIVE YOUR EXHIBITS.8. Non-perishable exhibits may be left at the ExhibitionOffice prior to the Exhibition by making arrangements with
the Secretary/Manager.9. When the judge feels no entry is worthy of a first prize,another prize may be awarded. The judges decision is final.10.Lack of space may make it necessary to display prize-winning entries only.11.While the Society will take all reasonable precautions toensure the safety of all entries, EXHIBITS ARE PLACED ATTHE OWNERS RISK. We are not responsible for exhibits left
after closing time on the final day of the Exhibition but anyremaining exhibits will be kept at the Office until August 31after which they will be either discarded or given to a charityof our choice.12.Each Exhibitor must comply with, and shall be bound by,the rules and regulations respecting the class or section inwhich he or she is exhibiting, as set out in this Prize List.
13.Exhibitors in the Senior Division are requested to submita list of their winnings to the exhibition Office within seven(7) days of the close of the Peterborough Exhibition.14.In the case of an error made in the totalling of Prizemoney, a Complaint must be registered in writing withinfourteen (14) days of receiving the cash or cheque.

If a question arises which is not answered in the rules andregulations, please contact the Chairperson of the Classinvolved. All protests must be submitted in writing and will
be investigated by the Committee in charge of theDepartment in which the protest is entered. They will reportto the Homecraft Directors at a regularly called meeting. Thedecision of the Board will be final and will be binding uponthe parties of such protest.

Competition entry forms for 4-H exhibit must be received atthe Exhibition Office by Friday July 29, 2011.1. Open to all 4-H clubs and 4-H youth leaders in
Peterborough County who participated in projects fromAugust 2010 to July 2011.
2. Exhibits are to be placed in the Gymnastics Building onThursday August 11, 2011 between 2 and 6 PM and willremain in place until Sunday August 14, 2011. Check forthe pick up time.
3. Table space of approximately 3 X 4 will be provided.4. The club name or youth leader title must be used in theexhibit. It is expected that a club member will place theexhibit.
5. The exhibit topic will be related to the project area ofinterest, eg. Much Ado about Meat, Working with Wool,Social Recreation, Animal Science, Crop Science,Leadership, etc.

Rules and Regulations:1. While the Society will take all reasonable precautions to
ensure the safety of exhibits, they are placed at the ownersrisk. Exhibitors must present their membership card beforeremoving exhibits.2. Only and original painting which is the sole work of theentrant is acceptable unless otherwise stated.3. Entries must be recent paintings, completed within thelast 12 months.4. Maximum allowable size will be 24 x 36 (not including
frame)5. Acceptable media are pencil, ink, charcoal, pastels,watercolours, oils and acrylic.6. All paintings must be framed and ready to hang.
