20% TIME Google allows their employers to spend 20 percent of
their work time (and resources) on a personal interest project. The
idea is to give their employees more autonomy in their work
environment and foster more motivation/inspiration for creative
work. Gmail, Google Docs, Picasa, and Google Doodles are all
products of this time.
