5. Do not set up the equipment in bookshelvesor locker, etc.
6. Do not place books, paper, etc on and againstthe equipment.
7. Do not install sideways or slanting -ventilation.
8. Clean, dry place where temperature andhumidity remain stable, non-condensing.
9. If necessary, install the equipment in anairtight room or shelter
10. Do not apply air directly from the air-conditioner to the equipment as this maycause condensation.
11. For measures against the damage from saltwater to an ODU, consult with NEC.

DADE Operation
The DADE control applies in 1+1 configuration to adjust the delay time for RX hitless switchingwhen the INTFC status is indicating out of phase. The DADE adjustment is needed in initiallineup or when the IF CABLE is replaced. A readjustment is not needed when the INTFC statusis indicated in-phase.
DADE: Automatically adjusts delay time based on eitherNo.1 signal or No.2 signal selected by the RX SW underthe out of phase condition of the INTFC status. TheDADE control is processed assuring no interruption oftraffic.
Offset DADE: Automatically adjusts delay time based oneither No.1 signal or No.2 signal selected by RX SWunder the out of phase condition of the INTFC status. Theoffset memory minimizes the latency delay, thereforetraffic interruption can occur at switchover as the two
signals may not be 100% in phase.
DADE off: Set when DADE function is not used. Forparticularly, when low bit rate (10 to 20 MB) transmissionis applied to the system, the DADE control is not required.

Antenna Alignment
Antenna alignment requires technicians at both sites, withcommunication between them.
INSTALLATION
8/10/2019 Pasolink Neo Installation
35/38
Antenna Alignment (1/2)1. Point antennas at both sites at each other
as closely as possible.
2. Use binoculars, etc. as necessary. It maybe necessary to lightly loosen the antennanuts.
3. Power up the radios at both sites.
4. Designate one site as the transmitter site.
5. If the equipment is working in MTPC mode, leave it, as it is.
6. If the equipment is working in ATPC mode, set the ATPC Manual control to on.
7. At the receiver site (the other site) monitorthe AGC voltage on the ODU with a digitalvoltmeterl. If you use a voltmeter, you haveto use a converter to connect it to the Ftype male connector of the ODU. RX LEV Monitor

Antenna Alignment (2/2)7. Adjust the azimuth and elevation angle of the antenna alternately so that the
measured voltage becomes maximum. The antenna alignment procedure differs inthe case of different antennas, which were developed by different vendors. Be sureto move the antenna the find the main lobe. Between the two sub lobes (two lowervoltage values) is the main lobe.
This picture shows a simplified radiation pattern of an antenna:
8. The typical values of the measured voltages are : 23,5 V DC (RX lev.= -50dBm..-28 dBm)
