COMPLETE VICTORY IN CHRIST December 2018 Newsletter of Shekinah/ Kalibu Ministries

Issue 286

Waves Of Life & Reconciliation Precious Partners & FriendsI have just completed a leadership conference on TRUE RECONCILIATION in Bidibidi refugee camp, Uganda. The messages were very strong and gave nobody place to slither out of their personal and corporate responsibilities. How on earth can leaders in the churches not take seriously the words of the Great Reconciler? The main reason why there has been such a travesty of genocide in South Sudan

is because the spiritual leaders of the nation have been divided, have been sectarian and have been tribal. Ephesians makes clear that by the church is to be made known the victory of Christ to all principalities and powers. If the church is a pathetic, whimpering, defeated church focused more on money than the victory of Christ however will people hear and more importantly know the truth? And, the truth is not simply being born again. That experience is merely the start to a walk of becoming more and more like Jesus. All who are baptised into Christ are baptised into ONE BODY. "For by one Spirit are we all baptised into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit." Our arrogance knows no limit as all denominations think they have the handle on Jesus and His teachings and we are so unwilling to learn one from another. James asks and clearly answers, "From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?" The lust for recognition and notoriety, for worldly power and for wealth are some of the lusts that have plagued the church since its inception. Sadly, the church is not an example to the world of what Christ really is. I heard a businessman rebuking a pastor by saying, "There is no difference between me and you. You are seeking after money and wealth just as I am except that I am honest about it and you are a hypocrite." I saw the worst of hypocrisy in South Sudan where spiritual leaders left their flocks and lived in the protection and safety of Kampala, Nairobi and Rome whilst their sheep suffered and still do now.

Waves Of Life & Reconciliation (Cont.)

What we need is the demonstration of Godly, spiritual and dynamic power. Such is what made Paul different to most churches today and we need Paul's methodology and the operation of the blessed Holy Spirit rather than men's ideas. The whole philosophy of the seeker friendly persuasion is to abandon the Holy Spirit in favour of the rational thinking of philosophy, of psychology and of psychiatry. There is no possible way that human engineering can ever deliver anyone of a demon. Such deliverance needs supernatural power. Every visitor to a seeker friendly church must needs therefore to undergo serious deliverance sooner or later to break the supernatural powers of a supernatural Devil and his demons. And so it is with the many refugees living in Bidibidi camp. They must, sooner or later, undergo spiritual deliverance so as to get naturally free. This is a massive undertaking and looking at the weakness and even reluctance of most believers to operate in the supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit it becomes almost impossible but must be done. Most believers reading this editorial have probably never cast out a devil. Why not? They are probably lurking in your own family members. Jesus declared, "If I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, know this that the Kingdom of God has come unto you." Most definitely am I introducing The KINGDOM and power of it to the refugee camp. This is a power that is essential to every believer and leader. The enormous success we are currently enjoying in Bidibidi is the fruit of sacrificial prayer and there is a wave of life and reconciliation spilling into South Sudan from the camps. The work is marvellous to behold and there is an ever increasing number of powerful testimonies of what the Lord is doing through the preaching of His Word through the anointing.Once again, beloved friends, you are part with us of a new and exciting work on old stomping grounds. Please join in this great work with us as we sow, water and reap a harvest. Pray, give and come to Bidibidi.

Bidibidi Refugee Camp Conference Kalibu ministries held another Pastor's Conference in Bidibidi refugee camp, northern Uganda from 21st to 24th November 2018.Mrs. Peppiina and I flew from Malawi to Uganda on the 15th of November, and travelled to Bidibidi together. We had the priviledge of attending the conference, and also helped by decorating the church hall for the meetings. The conference was held for South Sudanese pastor's and church leaders in Bidibidi. Both men and women leaders attended the conference. Every day pastor Michael Howard taught 4 sessions, and Kalibu ministry also provided meals and accommodation for the attendants. The conference was held in the new hall that was constructed by Kalibu in Bidibidi.

South Sudanese people suffer from unforgiveness and hatred because of tribalism and the war. Pastor Michael Howard taught about Reconciliation in the

kingdom. 2 Corinthians 5:18 says, "Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and HAS GIVEN US THE MINISTRY OF RECONCILIATION. "Because Christ has reconciled me, I must also reconcile my brother. This was the message to the south Sudanese. God wants to change the attitudes of the refugees. When their attitude changes, they can go back home as changed men and women of God, and they can also change their nation. When the Israelites wandered in the wilderness, THEY ALL DIED because they didn't change their attitude. This was a warning for the south sudanese, that they also need to change their heart and attitudes toward their sisters and brothers. “Greetings from Bidibidi, Uganda! We just had a wonderful leaders’ conference for one hundred South Sudanese church leaders here in the refugee camp. During these four days we had sixteen meetings where Pastor Howard taught about the subject Reconciliation in the Kingdom.

All the meetings were filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. The preaching went through like a cutting knife convicting many leaders in many different areas of life. God’s word was strong and clear. Believers in South Sudan are religious and divided without power and authority of God, and people in Bidibidi are a representation of the situation in the whole of South Sudan with their tribalism and division. God is not going to send refugees back home to South Sudan unless and until they give up their hatred, bitterness and tribalism. People have to stop pointing to others and look at themselves. I have to repent, forgive and change. Only then can I work as a vessel of reconciliation and God can come down and change the course of South Sudan.Leaders from different denominations were touched by the word and I believe that no one went back to their churches the same. Bidibidi and South Sudan still need a lot of work and preaching the true convicting word of God in Holy Spirit power, then the nation will be completely changed. However I can already see that God has started his wonderful work among the churches in Bidibidi refugee camp. Asko P. Missionary to Malawi

Mozambique Ministry Trip/Construction Report

“In Morrumbala God’s work is growing and Pastor Pereira who is the head of the work in Mozambique is also doing a great work. He has planted lots of trees and also has a tree nursery ready to plant more next rainy season which is coming soon. The Bible school is also running, there is a new dormitory building under construction. The building is up and roofed and waiting for windows and doors and plaster. There is also a new church building foundation ready for building. The ministry has also built a house for Chief Juao only waiting for a roof to complete it. (The new dormitory under construction)

The Mozambique trip has been good and it is always good to put things in order. So that God would come in with His glory. We are doing nothing but to bring God’s Kingdom to the earth and the only way is when all of us are pulling together in one direction. We thank God for the protection and His provision for the trip. Lots of things had and was happening on the road, but God had put us under the covering of the Blood of Jesus and indeed we saw His mercies and grace.”

Our trip to Mozambique was of great need as Pastor Errol and Pastor Navaya are doing so much to put things in order. The church in Mozambique has been failing challenges, caused by pastors and leaders who want to do things their own way, and not God;’s way. In Beira, the overseer has not been allowing other people that God is raising up to do the work. As a result the place where he is ministering, the church, hasn’t grown because of control. Thanks to Pastor Errol & Pastor Navaya for the great work they are doing in Mozambique. They have directions of how to run the work and also put discipline where it is needed. Just a couple of kilometers from this place called Lamegerbeira there is another place called Madangwa where

Pastor Diogo is leading. I am truly touched by this pastor. He is old but full of energy and excited for the Lord. There is life in him and also he is raising up young leaders to help him in growing up the church and ministry at large. We also visited Morrumeo where the pastor left for not having the same vision as the Director of the ministry. When ever he comes for the conference he used to ignore what was taught and opted to teach his own ideas and feelings. So the church has told him before that the teachings he has been teaching them was not good, so he left. But, God is faithful and raised up another leader who is excited for God and also the young guys working with him are willing to do more for God. There is life in the church now, though they are few, these families are on fire for God. Pastor Patterson C.

AWARDS NIGHT AT KALIBU ACADEMY

The Tenth Annual Speech Night in Kalibu Academy on 9th November 2018

In the Speech Night meet students, parents, teachers, leaders and coworkers.

Kalibu Academy is an international, English language, Christian school. Nobody is forced to become a believer but a clear principle is to live according to Gods word and the leader of Kalibu is Jesus Christ. The practical degree in the studies is approved by Cambridge University in England.

Gods presence filled the big hall full of parents of Kalibu students when we prayed, worshipped, were listening to the speeches of both director Michael Howard and school head master, Pastor Paisley

Mavutula and the student representatives. Top honors students were rewarded with trophies and money rewards and others were encouraged to be the receivers next year. One of the students was rewarded in four cases of five.

We were reminded by the Director that in America the morning assembly and prayer were removed by the Supreme Court from all schools about 55 years ago. One of the consequences being that 1.2 million students (7000 daily) finish their school without final examination.

Similar results can be seen also in Malawian humanistic schools. This is not happening in Kalibu Academy where we continue to obtain a 100% pass rate every year at Cambridge for IGCSE. This year we received 200 new displaced students whose parents want their boys and girls to succeed now in school and later in their future life. We are professionals who know what we are doing and we consistently year after year prove this by our 100 % pass rate.

KALIBU PRIMARY SCHOOL

There have been a lot of exciting things happening at Kalibu Primary School in the past month. The school is now over 220 students and growing. They have opportunities to grow spiritually, academically and socially with the kind of leadership and oversight of our dedicated staff. They held their yearly Sports Day, visited a Wildlife Sanctuary and got to ride in a Fire truck from

the local Fire Station. Their studies are equipping them for their higher education and life as a young person in Malawi.

Here are some testimonies from the students of the Primary School

TAMANDA Y. “I am in Standard 5. I came in Standard 3 in 2016. At my old school we were allowed to take phones to school, nobody bothered us about our school work. Even during exams were doing as we liked but the teachers made us to pass. Kalibu Academy has made me love the Lord more and it has given me a chance to sing praise and worship songs at assembly. I  am very happy to be at this wonderful school.”

MICHELLE S. “At my old school nobody cared about my handwriting. Before I came to Kalibu I could go to school and not write anything. Here at Kalibu the Handwriting Handout was put in front of me and the teacher said ,"Stop your nonsense!" Now I listen and obey and I write neatly. Thank you Kalibu.

CHILUNGAMO M. “At my old school we could swear as much as we wanted. We were allowed to take our phones. When my parents brought me to Kalibu Academy I was very happy. Here we don't fight, we treat each other with love. We're taught how to read the Bible. I was called among the new Prefects. I love Kalibu Academy and all the teachers. They have taught me to love.”

ZANELE M. “I came to Kalibu Academy this year. I was very naughty at my old school. I would fight and swear. I was a bad girl. My parents did not know that I was a bully. I did not do my work. When I came to Kalibu Academy the Headmistress said she will expel me if l am lazy. She doesn't like nonsense. I am now filled with a spirit of excellence. I love the Lord and I sing and dance for God. Thank you Kalibu Academy.”

AUGUSTINE M. “Kalibu Academy has changed my life so much. I was a thief and I used to fight other children for nothing. I was rude and I swore all the time. Kalibu Academy has changed me from my bad ways. Thank you so much Kalibu teachers.”

SIKWESE T. “I came to Kalibu Academy this year. My uncle told my parents about this school. At my old school we use to make a lot of noise in class. Here at Kalibu Academy we listen and obey. We were taking phones to school and playing games in class. We're not allowed to do that here. The Headmistress says if I am up to nonsense I will go home for good. I want to learn. Thank you Kalibu Academy for a good school.”

A SPECIAL THANK YOU

Shekinah Ministries would like to send our special thanks to those of you who invested this past year into the works of this ministry. We saw so many of the ministry areas, like the Elderly Outreach, the Primary School and the ministry to the native pastors and churches strengthened and growing. Six more elderly cottages were built, with money in hand to construct another four, the Primary School attendance is up 20% with the lives of the kids being changed, and the native pastors and congregations being built up in Christ. The work in the refugee camps among the South Sudanese has been a focus too, with accommodation under construction and conferences for leaders in the camps to be challenged and encouraged. All of these are possible because so many of you have invested and have given sacrificially to make these ministries a powerful force in Malawi, South Sudan, Mozambique, Finland and here in the USA.

We send our appreciation and thanks to you, and pray that the Lord would richly bless all you do for Him. Have a blessed Christmas and New Year. In Christ, Pastor Michael Howard and Staff
