THE PROBLEM
A slope failure occurred exposing the rear section of a residential structure, located on old Yonge St. in Toronto.
Access was limited to the rear of the structure and the actual slope was steep and work had to be completed with minimal disruption.
Shows allowable access to exposed foundation
THE SOLUTION
A rapid design-build solution was completed by Terraprobe and EBS Geostructural, to support the exposed foundation and stabilize the slope to prevent future failures.
Vertical Helical Piles and horizontal Helical Anchors were installed and attached to the existing structure to prevent movement.
Slope stabilization was achieved by the installation of Soil Screws (soil nails) into the slope.
