Hello families of St. Anthony,
This week I want to say thank you, to everyone who has been picking up my
slack. I fractured my ankle 2 weeks ago, and it has been really difficult getting
around. Although I can do some work from home, much of what I do here in-
volves being all over the campus at different times and being very mobile. So,
in my absence, there have been wonderful people helping to get my job done.
Stephanie Howard and Marilu Mendez have covered much of my office work,
phone calls and emails. The amazing catechists in the PRE program and who
are helping with Sacrament preparation, have held down the programs quite
well. The parents who are doing all of the work for our All Saints/All Souls par-
ty have done a great job keeping things moving. I just love that I can trust in
my coworkers and volunteers to keep everything going while I slowly heal.
And speaking of keeping things moving, there are so many wonderful things
happening around here, I hope you are finding something you can become
involved in! If not, what would you like to see? Someone recently asked if we
would put out an online survey, asking what activities parishioners would like
to see and would support. I will try and get a survey on the website, but in the
meantime, please just give me a call or send me an email. I would love to pro-
vide all the support you need to have a Bible study, book study, video series,
whatever you can think of that would help you grow in your Faith. The office of
Faith Formation is for everyone, including YOU! Students, parents, grandpar-
ents… everyone in the parish. Help me to work for you!
Yours in Christ,
Melissa Hill Garcia
