NWU Vaal FC players to compete atWorld Student GamesZacharia Nale

VANDERBIJLPARK.- Four players ofNWU Vaal FC have been selectedtorepresentUniversity Sports South Africa(USSA) Football at the World StudentGamesin Napoli, Italy from 3-14 July.

The players are: Tebogo Galane (KaizerChiefs), Mduduzi Sithole, KavendreeMakhene and Siyabulela Mosiea. All ofthem are registered studentsand SAFASedibengSAB League players represen-ting NWU Vaal.

To date, USSA Football has producedplayers such as Siyabonga Nhlapo (formerVUT Studentnow Supersport), ThaboRakgale (NWU Mafikeng now ChippaUnited), Lehlohonolo Majoro (UJ nowBid Wits), Mlungisi Mbunjane (UJ nowHighlands Park) and the likes of BushyMoloi (TUT now assistantcoachBaroka),

Floyd Mbele (TUT now head of admini-stration at Orlando Pirates).

Speaking to Vaalweekblad, NWU VaalFootball Manager ThomasThema saidthat this is a great achievementnot onlyfor the players but alsofor the university.Thema said the players will depart onJune 25.

"As NWU Vaal we would like to takethis opportunity to congratulatetheplayers. We wish them the best of luck tomake us proud. This is an opportunity forthem to launch their football careers atthe highest level. I must alsomention thatthe very sameplayers were competing inthe Safa SedibengSAB League.
