RESPECT-HONOR-STRENGTH
Reno Huskie Families,
We have reached the end of the 11th week of school. Progress reports were given
to students Thursday 10/22. Progress reports were provided to any student
receiving a C or lower in a given class. Please utilize Infinite Campus for the latest
updates on your student’s grades and attendance. We are pushing hard to
support all our students to earn their full credits this semester. If you have any
questions or concerns, please contact the school.
October Intercession is 10/26 to 10/29. Our offices will be closed during break.
Don’t forget to attend our Safe Trick or Treat night 10/28 at 6pm. The NIAA
Athletics calendar will continue into next week. Most of our sporting events are at
McQueen next week including soccer, volleyball and football. I am expecting our
students and fans to model RESPECT HONOR and STRENGTH while supporting our
student athletes and their coaches. Remember, we always respect our opponents
because without them, there would be no rivalry.
In December we will be sharing our school’s 2015-2016 School Performance Plan
where we outline specific goals and objectives aligned to action plans primarily
focused on closing achievement gaps for students in specific demographic
categories. We will use this plan to drive our budget and professional
development this year as we march forward to support every student to
graduation and college/career readiness.
November is a very choppy month when it comes to school days. The month will
go by quick so make sure your student(s) are attending regularly and preparing for
their final exams. Sleep, eating right and drinking lots of water…not soda…is the
way to go!
November is our month for the Canned Food Drive (Nov 2nd-20th). Donations go
to the Evelyn Mount Community Center Food Pantry.
Homecoming was an amazing week. Congratulations to Kat Clark and Kemper
Conboy for their HC Queen and King nominations!

Goodbyes
We are saying goodbye to our beloved lunch lady
Annie Pietropaolo. She has been with Reno High
School over 20 years and we wish her the best as
she is retiring.
We are also saying goodbye to our “Super
Substitute” Debbie Richter who has filled in for
our teachers the past 4 years, including some
long-term assignments. She has truly been a
part of our school and most students thought
she was a full-time staff member with us! She is
moving to Boise and we wish her the best!
