TENNIS & ENGLISH CAMPS

TENNIS & ADVANCED ENGLISH CAMPS

TOTAL TENNIS CAMPS

Up to 18 hours of tennis coaching

per week alongside 12.5 hours

of classroom-based English. Our

dedicated and highly qualified

English teachers deliver a custom-

made curriculum based on the

successful CLIL model used in top

schools across the world. Teachers

use active participation and sports-

relevant project work alongside

traditional classroom-based learning

to keep students fully engaged.

All students leave the camp with

their English workbook, a proficiency

certificate and an individual

assessment with advice on how to

further develop their language skills.

Up to 21 hours of tennis coaching

per week alongside 6 hours of

Advanced English project work.

Players work in groups on one

business or sports related project

each week guided by experienced

English teachers. Learning to

develop skills in teamwork, research,

analysis and presenting information,

groups will work with their teacher

for an hour each day before

delivering a presentation on their

project at the end of the week.

Students leave with some of the vital

skills needed for university entrance

and the international job market, as

well as a copy of their project and a

report from their supervising teacher.

Players live and train like

professionals with up to 32 hours of

tennis coaching, fitness and match

play each week. Players will work

on all aspects of their game, refining

their technique to adjust to different

court surfaces. They will take part

in up to three coaching and training

sessions each day, depending on

their level.

Raise your game

Our tennis coaches are experienced in coaching players of all ages,

language levels and abilities. They are energetic and passionate

about youth development, ensuring the camp is a challenging and

fun environment. Advanced players will be challenged technically,

tactically and physically while developing players learn to master

grip, spin, movement, power and consistency. Working on a 1:6 ratio

coaches will use demonstration, practice and detailed feedback to

provide players with insight into their technique and how to improve.

Alongside short-set matches and challenges, fitness and conditioning

drills are used to improve footwork, balance and speed. Each player

receives a personal assessment from the coaching director together

with a development plan from their coach.

*The All England Club at Wimbledon is closed during the

Championships (2-15 July), so for camps during these days,

players will enjoy an alternative excursion to Brighton Pier.

A high-performance programme with

a private school experience

Experience the best of both worlds at our Bournemouth

camp. Stay at the majestic Canford School, a prestigious

private boarding school on a spectacular 100-hectare site.

Players will train and play at the nearby elite tennis facility,

West Hants Tennis club. The club is just 10km from Canford

School and was host to the first ever Open Tournament in

the world in 1968. Several LTA tournaments are hosted

on its internationally renowned American clay and

competition-standard acrylic courts.

West Hants Tennis Club has a long history of talent

development and is the training base for a full-time tennis

academy of 27 young British players who will be playing

and competing with the players on this camp.

Players will be chauffeured daily to and from the tennis club

and the sports don’t stop there. Canford School has a Real

Tennis court where players can try their hand at the original

racquet sport as well as squash, swimming and more tennis

on the school’s own courts.

Experience what it’s like to live, train and play at the National

Tennis Centre (NTC), home of Great Britain’s Davis Cup

team and the Lawn Tennis Association. Located on the edge

of Richmond Park in south west London, the NTC is the

leading performance tennis centre in the UK with 22 courts

including all 4 Grand Slam surfaces. Our high-performance

programme, designed by former tournament professionals,

aims to take players to the next level. These camps are

suitable for those who play regularly at school and/or club

level and are not suitable for beginners.

If we accept yourapplication we will confirm acceptance by sending you anacceptance e-mail. A contract between us will only be formedwhen we send you that acceptance e-mail. Our website sets outfurther details on the specific requirements for each course andacceptance is subject to compliance with those specificrequirements.ii. If you do not receive an acceptance e-mail within 28 days ofapplying to book a place on a course (or, if sooner, within 5days of the course starting) please call the Booking Departmenton +44 1117 950 4336 to confirm whether your application hasbeen accepted.iii. All applications to book a place on a course must beaccompanied by payment of the appropriate course fee ofeither: (a) full payment; or (b) a £300.00 per player per weekdeposit payment followed by the balance payment on or before1st June before camp start date. A participant will not beallowed to attend a course unless all charges for that coursehave been paid before it starts.iv. By applying to book a place on a course you confirm that: (a)you are legally capable of entering binding contracts; (b) youare at least 18 years old; (c) your application is in a privatecapacity for an individual participant with whom you have apersonal relationship and you are not applying for places oncourses which you intend to resell in the course of a trade orbusiness.v. The price of courses and any additional fees we charge (butnot any fees charged by third parties which you may incur inattending courses) will be as stated on our website from time totime, unless there is an obvious error. These prices andadditional fees may change at any time, but any change will notaffect any application for which we have sent an acceptance e-mail. You are responsible for arranging and paying for theparticipant’s return travel to the course venue.vi. Prices include VAT. If the rate of VAT changes before youmake any payment due to us we may adjust the VAT you pay.

2. Cancellation and refundsi. To cancel an accepted booking, you must inform us in writing.ii. You may cancel your booking without any charge within 7working days of us accepting your booking, provided the coursehas not already started. Transfers booked within 7 days of thestart of the camp are non-refundable. Extra nights bookedwithin 7 days of the start of the camp are only refundable if the

camp booking has also been made within 7 days of the campstart date.iii. If you cancel your booking and/or transfers, visa lettersand/or extra nights later than 7 working days after we acceptedyour order but more than 6 weeks before the first day of thecourse we will give you a refund of any payment you havemade less a reduction of an amount up to the value of thedeposit payment referred to in paragraph 1.iii. How much of thedeposit payment we withhold will depend on our reasonableassessment of our costs of dealing with your booking andcancellation, and whether we are able to resell the place youbooked.iv. If you cancel your booking and/or transfers, visa lettersand/or extra nights later than 7 working days after we acceptedyour order and less than 6 weeks before the first day of thecourse we will not be obliged to give you any refund, but maydo so in our discretion (any such refund will be less the depositpayment). How much of the amount you have paid we refundwill depend on our reasonable assessment of our costs ofdealing with your booking and cancellation, and whether we areable to resell the place you booked. In our experience it isunusual to be able to resell a cancelled booking less than 6weeks before the first day of the course so you should notexpect to receive a refund if you cancel your booking on latenotice.v. If a participant is refused a visa to enter the UK to attend acourse we will offer a full refund provided that you have takenall necessary steps to ensure the visa is granted in sufficienttime to allow attendance on the course. We require a copy ofthe original documentation issued by the Entry ClearanceOfficer stating that the visa application has been declined atleast 72 hours prior to 12:00pm on the camp start date in orderto process a refund.vi. In the unlikely event of us cancelling a course, you willreceive a full refund of fees paid.vii. In all cases where we make any refund we will process therefund as soon as possible and always within 30 days of noticeof cancellation (for cancellation under paragraphs 2.ii., 2.iii., 2.vand 2.vi.) and 30 days of agreement to issue a refund (forcancellation under paragraph 2.iv). We will usually issue arefund using the same method you used to pay.

vii. In all cases where we make any refund we will process therefund as soon as possible and always within 30 days of noticeof cancellation (for cancellation under paragraphs 2.ii., 2.iii., 2.vand 2.vi.) and 30 days of agreement to issue a refund (forcancellation under paragraph 2.iv). We will usually issue arefund using the same method you used to pay.

3. ChangesAll courses, activities, venues and travel arrangements aresubject to change according to weather, venue availability, asatisfactory number of participants, and factors beyond ourcontrol. As such, we may cancel or change any courses, shouldthis be necessary for these reasons. If we do have to cancel acourse we will offer an alternative course (if available andsuitable) or a full refund.

4. Fitnessi. You must ensure that the participant is physically fit and ableto participate in the sporting activities. If you need any furtherinformation on the physical fitness required of participants orhave any doubt that a participant is sufficiently physically fit toattend a course please contact us before applying for a placeon a course. We will not issue a refund because a participant isnot sufficiently physically fit to participate in any part of acourse.ii. We may require additional information depending on themedical information supplied to us by you when you apply for aplace on a course before we can accept your booking.

5. Medical CareIn the event that the participant needs medical attention duringany course then you agree to us arranging for any appropriateand necessary treatment. We will endeavour to contact you andobtain your consent to any decision regarding the arrangementof such treatment. However, you acknowledge and agree that inemergency situations we may not be able to contact you, andmay proceed to arrange such treatment without doing so. Inarranging any treatment we will take the advice of suitablyqualified doctors and clinicians and you agree that we and theyare entitled to assume that the medical information you suppliedat the time of booking is complete, accurate and up to date.

6. Liabilityi. Neither you nor we shall be liable to the other for any loss ordamage the other suffers as a result of a breach of these termsand conditions, unless that loss or damage was reasonablyforeseeable at the time of agreement of these terms andconditions.ii. Nothing in this agreement excludes or limits in any way ourliability for: (a) death or personal injury caused by ournegligence; or (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (c)any other matter for which it would be illegal or unlawful for usto exclude or limit or attempt to exclude or limit our liability.iii. The cost of any damage caused by you or any participantyou have booked on a course to any property or facilities will bepassed on to you and you will be liable to pay it.

7. Removal of participants from coursesi. Participants on courses must comply with the CourseRegulations [which can be viewed here], all rules andregulations that apply at any location where courses areprovided, and all instructions of CMT course leaders and otherstaff at any location where courses are provided.ii. We treat as a priority the safety and wellbeing of allparticipants attending our courses. We therefore reserve theright to remove from our courses, without refund, any participantwho contravenes paragraph 6.i. of these terms and conditions,is found bullying, behaving in a way that may be a danger toothers, or who is generally disruptive.iii. If a participant is removed from a course it is yourresponsibility to organise and pay for any travel,accommodation or other expenses incurred.

8. Flight arrangementsYou are responsible for arranging the flights necessary for theparticipant’s attendance on the course. You must notify uspromptly following booking of all flight details. If you have anyquestions about which flights to book or if you are unsurewhether the flights you intend to book are suitable for thecourse, you should contact us before booking the flights. Youare responsible for complying with all airline requirementsregarding flights, including those relating to check-in andboarding times, identity and other travel documentation, andarrangements for unaccompanied minors. We have noobligation to provide a refund or any other assistance where aparticipant is unable to attend a course because of your failureto comply with any such requirement. You are responsible forand will refund to us any additional reasonable costs we incuras a result of your failure to comply with any such requirement(for example, if a participant loses any travel documentation or ifan airline refuses to allow an unaccompanied minor to board aflight). You are responsible for and will refund us any additionalreasonable costs we incur as a result of you providing usinaccurate or incomplete flight information (for example, if weincur additional airport transfer charges because a participantarrives on a different flight from the notified flight). Airporttransfers will be charged to you in addition to course fees. Werequire the participant’s flight details at least four weeks beforethe start of the course. In the absence of such details, wecannot confirm the airport transfers. If we do not receive thesedetails at least 4 weeks before the start of any course, we mayhave to increase the airport transfer charge. These prices doNOT include any charges made by airlines for unaccompaniedminors which should be paid locally when the flights arebooked. There may be restrictions on when our airport transferservices operate, you should check with us before booking theflights to ensure the flight times are within our operating hours.

9. Image and other rightsYou agree to grant to us, without the need for approval orcompensation, to use the name, photograph, video or film

portrayal, image, likeness, interview, voice or sound of anyparticipant in any media whatsoever for advertising, promotionalor other commercial purposes.

10. No commercial useNeither you nor the participant shall disclose or use any aspectof our course for commercial purposes.

11. Parental consentIf you are not the participant’s parent or guardian, you confirmthat you have made such parent or guardian fully aware of thisbooking and of these terms and conditions (and that they haveagreed to them).

13. Written communicationsCertain laws require that some information we give you shouldbe in writing. You accept that most communication with us willbe electronic. We will contact you by e-mail or provide you withinformation by posting notices on our website. You agree to thiselectronic means of communication and acknowledge thatcontracts, notices, information and other communications weprovide electronically comply with legal requirements that suchcommunications be in writing.

14. NoticesAll notices you give us must be given to us at 4 Clifton Road,Clifton, Bristol, BS8 1AG or [[email protected]]. We maygive notice to you at either the e-mail or postal address youprovide to us when applying for a place on a course. Notice willbe deemed received and properly served immediately whenposted on our website, 24 hours after an e-mail is sent, or threedays after the date of posting of any letter. In proving theservice of any notice, it will be sufficient to prove, in the case ofa letter, that such letter was properly addressed, stamped andplaced in the post and, in the case of an e-mail, that such e-mailwas sent to the specified e-mail address of the addressee.

15. Transfer of rights and obligationsThe contract between you and us is binding on you and us andon the respective successors and assignees of you and us. Youmay not transfer, assign, charge or otherwise dispose of thiscontract, or any of your rights or obligations arising under it,without our prior written consent. We may transfer, assign,charge, sub-contract or otherwise dispose of this contract, orany of our rights or obligations arising under it, at any timeduring its term, provided that the person to whom we transfer,assign, charge, sub-contract or otherwise dispose of thiscontract or any of our rights or obligations arising under itagrees to comply with all of its terms for your benefit.

16. WaiverIf we fail to insist upon strict performance of any of yourobligations, or if we fail to exercise any of the rights or remediesto which we are entitled, this will not be a waiver of such rightsor remedies and will not relieve you from compliance with suchobligations. A waiver by us of any breach by you will notconstitute a waiver of any subsequent breach. No waiver by usof any of these terms and conditions will be effective unless it isexpressly stated to be a waiver and is communicated to you inwriting.

17. SeverabilityIf any court or competent authority decides that any of theseprovisions are invalid, unlawful or unenforceable to any extent,the term will, to that extent, be severed from the remainingterms, which will continue to be valid to the fullest extentpermitted by law.

18. Entire agreementWe intend to rely upon these terms and conditions and anydocument expressly referred to in them in relation to the subjectmatter of this contract. While we accept responsibility forstatements and representations made by our duly authorisedagents, please make sure you ask for any variations from theseterms and conditions to be confirmed in writing.

19. Governing law and jurisdictionThese terms and conditions and your booking shall begoverned by and interpreted in accordance with English lawand shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of theEnglish courts.
