What is a Dietary Supplement?

A product (other than tobacco) that

• is intended to supplement the diet• contains one or more dietary ingredients:

• vitamins

• minerals

• Herbs or other botanicals• amino acids

• other substances and their constituents

• is intended to be taken by mouth
