Quality Innovative Education in a
Caring Environment
Welcome back to Term 4. We hope everyone enjoyed their break. We are now ready for a very busy term, starting with our trip to the Op shops in Wauchope next Wednesday. This is part of our fashion unit.
Thank You to Mr Sam Cass who joins us for 3
weeks in the Infants class while Mr Keane is on paternity leave.
Congratulations to Mr Keane and his wife
Kieran on the arrival of their son Julian a little brother and playmate for Aurora.
Book Week Parade was held recently. The day started with the children
happily showing off their amazing creations. Parents were then welcome to join the children for a variety of literacy activities. This was followed by a sausage sizzle lunch Thanks to Jeremy Allwell for cooking the barbeque. The afternoon session saw the arrival of the Library Van which the children always look forward to.

Life Education Van visited our school last week, which is part of our health studies. The
Primary Class learnt about connections between people and how we can be connected to people via friendships. The program focussed on how friendships can grow and change over time and ways we can be a good friend. The program also focussed on online personal safety.
The Infants class learnt about recognising safe and unsafe environments, how to care for others, and behaviours that maintain friendships. The program also advised the children of places and people they can go to for help.
Op Shop Excursion next Wednesday 31/10/2018 is our excursion. Please return any outstanding
notes tomorrow. On the day students will need to pack all of their own food and drinks. The weather can be very warm and students may require extra water. Any parent who may be available to assist with our fashion unit is asked to speak to Mrs Parker.
Halloween Disco: Please see attached the P&C flyer in regard to catering for the night. All
orders and money to be sent to school by 31 October. The evening will commence at 5.30 pm and run through until 8.30 pm.

Billabong Zoo: Recently our school
visited the Billabong Zoo. The children enjoyed the hands on experiences with a number of different animals. They had
the opportunity to pat a baby crocodile, feed the kangaroos, pat a koala, dingo, shingleback lizard and snake. The
students were able to demonstrate some expert knowledge and understanding about some of the animals from their
classroom learning undertaken during Term 3.
Surf Life Saving: James from Life Surf Saving
Australia visited our school on Wednesday 24/10/2018. James gave a very in depth presentation about beach, river and pool water safety. These tips are vital for all of our children as we enter the summer period and we all begin to spend more time in and around water.
Happy Birthday Levi Bennett, Mahli Gulyas, Chase
Radoll, Zac Clissold,
Mikayla Weller and Tyler Smith who all have birthdays in
October.
