Results:The rate of transpiration in the NaCl celery was considerably less than in the control water. The water moved on 2.2 cm up the length of the celery in the salt water, whereas it moved up the celery in water to the top, 24 cm.

Results:The rate of transpiration in the Ice Water celery was equal to the rate of transpiration in the control water. The water moved 24 cm up the length of both pieces of celery.
However, what was not measured but noted the speed at which the dye moved up the celery was considerably slower in the ice water than in the control room temperature water.
Conclusions:
NaCl Ice Control
And the winner is:Transpiration will occur faster using room temperature water. With ice water running a close second in the race of transpiration. Pulling up the end of the race with a weak finish, is NaCl water!!
