Non-‐profit partnership “Innova1ons in Electric Power Industry” (INVEL) units interests of more than 30 leading energy companies in Russia. The Partnership stands as an innova1on center, accumula1ng knowledge of technology and technical regula1on in the electricity industry it also assists members of the Partnership in iden1fying and implemen1ng innova1ve solu1ons, implemen1ng industry-‐wide projects aimed at developing the Russian energy industry. In this connec1on NP “INVEL”
aims to create the Energy House

The purpose of this scale, socially significant project is to promote the concept of energy conservation and efficiency, development of scientific researches in the electricity industry, promotion of innovative development of the Russian energy sector. The result of the project will establish a major exhibition and conference, research and socio-educational complex, which will merge the following:

INVEL, working with partners-‐leaders of crea:ng interac:ve media -‐ design project as "edutainment“, will ensure the achievement of the objec:ves of Energy House crea:on. Examples of projects of interac:ve media-‐ design crea:on:
o Moscow Planetarium (opening in 2010)
o SCICOM – energy island, exposi:on on Renewable Energy (opening 2011, Austria)
o Nemo science center in the Netherlands
o Exploratorium, the museum of science, art and human percep:on San Francisco, USA

Interactivity. According to this principle all information
is presented in the Energy House:
"live" communication arouses curiosity, and increases
interest
Exposure involves maximum of the human perception,
establishes a strong link with what was seen, and
makes people want to come back
Interactive exhibit allows you to feel part of the
community, that creates sustainable energy, caries
about future generations, improves the quality of life
Visitors of the Energy House will explore the power
industry through the items that not only explain the
concept of "energy", but also they are able to CREATE
ENERGY

Energy House will be a leader in delivering of advanced
knowledge on energy resources, new technologies that
are increasingly important for the future of power
industry.
Context of the building itself will provoke visitors to
research, the entire space of the Energy House should
bear the information, prompting the teacher to become
an apprentice and disciple to become a teacher.
The project will be so substantial that the resulting
impression of exposure will motivate visitors to study
and research.

Energy House will reflect the concept of environmental
construction, proper certification of BREEAM and
LEED.
Among the possibilities of the building should be
minimum energy consumption and their own resources
for its production.
The project is unique and will attract the attention of
progressive innovation community in Russia and
around the world.

STEP 1: COMPACTED PROGRAM Program elements are stacked on the necessary footprint. STEP 2: DISTRIBUTE Program is redistributed to create seperate functional zones, and optimal floorplates for Research, Office, Exhibition, and Convention.
STEP 3: LIFT & STRETCH LEGEND INVEL program is lifted to bridge between zones, and create grand public plaza.
STEP 4: ATTRACT & SPREAD INVEL program is adjusted to magnetized regions of functional zones to create unique and dynamic interaction.

The building volumes are constructed with three distinct WALL TYPES, which are determined according to solar orientation. PANEL DENSITY is determined by a blend of scientific data and aesthetic attention to solar orientation.
