• Patel Education & Welfare Society , an Indore based society has undertaken upon itself
an important task of providing high quality technical education in Madhya Pradesh. To
achieve this aim it has established Malwa Institute of Science Technology at Village-
Limboda Gari. Dist-Indore (M.P).

DIRECTOR’S PROFILE
• Dr. B.B.Gupta is an eminent technologist having 30 years of rich experience in material
research, at IIT Powai, Balco and DMRL, Hyderabad at various senior positions. He has
been engaged in the development of aerospace materials and alloys used in the Agni,
Prithvi and Akash Missiles, in Collaboration with DRDO, Govt. of India, and also for
INSAT 2 D Satellites.
• A recipient of the VSVIK Scholarship Award for Best Industrial Research, he has also
been trained in Electron Microscopy at Cambridge and has more than 30 research
papers to his credit in national and international journal.

THE CAMPUS:
• At MIST a student has an opportunity for interactive learning rather than the usual “listen &
learn” approach & the students are encouraged to actively participate in the teaching-learning
process. Students are encouraged to deliver talks on curricular related topics at least once a
week so that they develop the most essential self confidence & also improve their presentation
& communication skills.
CLASS ROOM
• Electronic teaching aids like the OHP & LCD projectors (Digital Light projectors) are
being used to speed up the learning process. The class rooms are installed with CCTV
systems to help authorities to keep in touch with the class environment & to monitor the
performances of the faculty.
ENGINEERING LABS
Intensive training is imparted to the students in all the laboratories, as this is the
most important requirement for the students to fare well in their future careers. To
help the students grasp the essence of an experiment, a batch of only 20 students is
formed so that only 2 students conduct an experiment. The students are given
informative and standardized laboratory manuals well in advance so that they can
come prepared to the laboratory and obtain meaningful results.
COMPUTER LAB
The institute is built with luring resources which include apple lab, well equipped
laboratories, e-library, latest configured computer labs with 4 Mbps 1:1 leased line.
LIBRARY No possession can surpass, or even equal a good library, to the lover of books. Here are
treasured up for his daily use and delectation, riches which increase by being consumed,
and pleasures that never cloy.
MIST has an excellent Knowledge Rescore Centre & E- Library containing more than
12000 Books, 100 Journals & Magazines, Research reports & News papers.
CANTEEN
• Mind is like a parachute it works only when it is open.
Carrying the same belief the canteen is constructed with an excellent and unique design
making it a spectacular part of the college premises.
• The canteen can be taken analogous to a beautifully blossomed lotus in the centre of a
lake. Coming to the actual architecture, it is constructed such that it is surrounded by
water on all the sides with a pathway connecting it to the ground.
• Besides being uniquely architecture it provides nutritious food in a hygienic
environment altogether leading us to a different world where imagination and creativity
get wings to fly.
AMPITHEATRE
• This is to nurture the cinematic talent of the students and to cultivate their ethnic
aspects. It is a perfect place for sharing of ideas, event planning, small meetings,
auditions and skits. This is also to develop co-ordination, mutual understanding and co-
operation amongst everyone.
