A few thoughs about the VisaApplication Process

The visa process is not quick, cheap or easy. Youmight want to think of it as your toughest ever jobapplication. You need to present your best case.

You need persistence and patience. There aremany people in the immigration pipeline to NewZealand and you will be part of the queue. It'snormal to feel frustrated at times - especially aftermonths of silence from the authorities.

You must complete the application forms perfectly.Don't consider taking shortcuts. An application thatis only 99% correct will be rejected 100% of thetime. Once rejected, you go to the back of thequeue again.

The number 1 cause of failed visa applications isfilling in the forms incorrectly, or filling in the wrongforms.

You need to be up to date with the rules. NewZealand's immigration system is subject to frequentchanges.

NZ's 'rock-star' economy has more in store, says expertSource: NZ Herald December 2014

The rock-star economy will give an encore next year, says the economist who attached that labelto New Zealand. HSBC's chief economist for Australia and New Zealand, Paul Bloxham, expectsgrowth to slow next year but to a rate that is still above its long-term trend and outperforms mostother developed countries. [...] One of its underpinnings is the unexpectedly strong surge in netimmigration, a key element of which is the fact that fewer New Zealanders are leaving forAustralia and more are returning. Policy and Skill Shortage List ChangesSource: INZ

Both, temporary visa and permanent visa policy has been thoroughly updated in November andDecember this year. New application forms have been introduced again (this happensfrequently) and skill shortage lists have been updated. Those updates have not removed oradded occupations from the skill shortage lists, but rather changed specifications aboutqulaification or registration requirements. We will notify our clients if those changes will impactany existing visa applications.
