1. Portable restraining device for large animals (Traviport) (Dr Neeraj Srivastava, Er H.C. Joshi, Dr S Mehrotra & Dr Bharat Bhusan)
Veterinary practitioners often examine/treat cattle and buffalo
under field conditions where restraining is a major problem
Improper restraining may lead injury to vets, para-vets, owners
and animals besides inadequate examination and wastage of
time
A portable large animal restraining device for veterinary
practioners was developed with the advantages- ease of
assembly/dismantling, user-friendly, durable and light weight,
adjustable dimensions and cost effective
The device is useful for any person handling animals
domesticated or wild, veterinary ambulatory; for examination/
treatment (Gynae./ obstetrical/ surgical/ medicinal) cases,
vaccination, management and collection of biological samples
etc.
2. Feed Block making machine (Dr Putan Singh & Er S.S.Tripathi)
The Feed Block making machine has been designed and
developed to popularize the use of Urea Molases
Mineral Block (UMMB) among the farmers for
supplementing the poor quality roughages/diets of
animals with respect to minerals, vitamins & energy
values

The straw produced through threshing out wheat grains from wheat
crops is of poor nutritional quality with respect to protein and
energy value. The treatment of wheat straw with urea/ammonia
requires lot of labour for improving its nutritional value and is not
feasible
With Straw Treatment Machine farmers can simultaneously
perform both the processes
No extra labor, power and time is required for adopting this
technology which make this technology feasible and economical
for the farmers
The system can be operated either by electric motor or by tractor/engine power
