The Locator tab displays in real time, the precise location of the entirefleet. It also details driver status, driver speed, driving time, name andregistration of the driver and car. This is configured to update in real time.

1. Getting StartedGo to www.masternaut.co.uk

Select ʻLocatorʼ

2. The Locator View

The ʻLocatorʼ screen shows each vehicle representedby a box on the screen. Each box is colour coded torepresent the current activity of each vehicle.

Blue represents a moving vehicle

Green represents a vehicle that has stopped

Yellow shows any vehicles that are idling

Red shows any vehicles with a tachograph interface where the vehicle is in ʻWork Modeʼ

Enter your allocated username, password and press ʻGoʼ.

The time shown on each vehicle, details when thevehicle last reported back to the website. If the vehicleis moving then the time will be live, if the vehicle hasstopped then the time shown will be when the vehiclesignition was turned off.

The current speed is shown

The vehicles registration and driver name is shown.

Hover over to view the direction the vehicle is currently facing. Select to view location on a map.

At the bottom of each box, the current location of thevehicle is shown. If the vehicle is at a known locationthen the location is shown in bold. If not then theaddress of the location is shown.

To select which vehicle ʻGroupsʼ can be seen on theʻLocatorʼ screen simply add a against each group.

To create new groups, please contact your MasternautCustomer Services Representative (or your Masternautsystem Administrator).

Select ʻAllʼ to view all vehicles movements.

Select ʻTodayʼ to see vehicles movements for todayonly (set by default).

Select ʻAlertʼ to view vehicles with outstanding alerts.

The status box is simple to use. To view anyvehicles/drivers that are displaying the traits, Driving,Stop, Idling or Work simply click the relevant box.

To show vehicles/drivers driving click the ʻDrivingʼ box:

To show vehicles/drivers who are stopped, click theʻStopʼ box:

To show vehicles/drivers that are Idling click the ʻIdlingʼ

box:

To show vehicles/drivers that are working click theʻWorkʼ box:

Full Screen – Select ʻFull Screenʼ to view locatorscreen with no frames.

Change View – Select ʻChange Viewʼ for a differentlocator view (see section 3)

The refresh box is used to check for any further livetrack information. To update the data manually click thebutton labelled ʻManualʼ.

To set an automatic update use the drop field to selectthe required update frequency, this can be either ʻ30

secondsʼ, ʻ1 minuteʼ or ʻ5 minutesʼ.

Once the frequency is selected add a to activate.Click on the to remove.

To view all vehicles on the map, selectthis opens a separate window showing all vehicles onthe map. To view each individual vehicle separatelyselect on the required vehicle.

3. The Alternative Locator View

To view an alternative locator screen select ʻChange Viewʼ

The ʻvehicleʼ situated on the left hand side of the box iscolour coded depending on the status of the vehicle.

Blue represents a ʻmovingʼ vehicle

Green represents a vehicle that has ʻstoppedʼ

Yellow shows any vehicles that are ʻidlingʼ

Red shows any vehicles with a tachograph interfacewhere the vehicle is in ʻWork Modeʼ

The orientation of the vehicle displays which direction itis heading in. i.e. North, South, North-east, South-Westetc

Select to view location on a map.

The time shown is the time when the vehicle lastreported back to the website. If the vehicle is movingthen the time will be live, if the vehicle has stopped thenthe time shown will be when the vehicles ignition wasturned off. The current speed is also shown.

The vehiclesʼ registration and driver name is shown, asis the current location. If the vehicle is at a knownlocation then the location name is shown in bold. If notthen the address of the location is shown.

If the vehicle is currently in a ʻTerritoryʼ (see TerritoriesUser Guide) then the name of the territory will also beshown in the locator view along with a territory icon.

As with the previous view, each vehicle can be placedinto a ʻGroupʼ, the title bar shown above details thename of the group and shows a summary of the statusof the vehicles in that group.

To ʻMinimiseʼ or ʻMaximiseʼ the vehicle statistics

To move the group click and hold your mouse onand drag the group to the required area of the screen.

Select ʻReset All Group Positionsʼ to reset all grouppositions to their default position.

Select ʻShow all Groupsʼ to maximise all the vehiclestatistics.

Select ʻHide all Groupsʼ to minimise all groups.

Select ʻChange Viewʼ to revert to original ʻLocatorʼ

view.

Search Box

Masternaut have introduced a new smart search box onthe Locator tab for customers that have large amountsof vehicles and drivers. In this box you can start typingeither a vehicle registration or driver name. For thosecustomers using the hierarchy setup, you can also typein a group name.

This will then let you see just one driver, or vehicle(also group, if using hierarchy structure). Please see the examples below.

To put all vehicles back on the screen, just click in thegreyed out area of the Group Section.
