Shewasbornonthe12thofJuly,1997,inMingoraCity,Pakistan.MalalaisaMuslim.ShespeaksPastum,UrduandEnglish.Shehastwoyoungersiblings.HerfatherisapoetandhehassomeschoolsinPakistan.Hespokeaboutpoliticstohisdaughterwhenshewasachild.

WhenMalalawas11yearsold,shehadablog.ShewroteaboutherlifeundertheTalibanregime.Shewantedtodefendcivilrights,especiallygirls'rights,becauseTalibansdon'tallowgirlstherighttogotoschool.

Oneday,whenshewas15,andshewasgoingtoschoolontheschoolbus,anarmedmangotonandshotMalalainherhead.Malalawasinhospitalforlongtime.Whenshegotbetter,shewastakentoBritain.

Malalasaid:

“MydreamisthatallthechildrenintheworldcangotoschoolbecauseeducationisaFundamentalHumanRight.”

Whenshewas17yearsold,shewontheNobelPeacePrizewithamancalledKailashSatyarthi.Bothfightforchildrenandyoungpeopleandtheirrightstoeducation.

TodayMalalaYousafzaiisapoliticallyactivewoman,too.
