** PLEASE READ DIRECTIONS THOROUGHLY BEFORE BEGINNING **
If you do not already have directions to construct your pre cut
Kaleidoscope Blocks, you can find them on our website
www.labfabrics.com in our pattern download section.
Step 1: Construct your 6 Kaleidoscope Blocks, once constructed, square each block to 10.5”
Step 2: From the accent fabric, cut 6 strips at 2”xwof,
using 4 of those strips, sub-cut each into a 10.5” piece
and a 22” piece. Then using 3 of the 10.5” pieces as
sashing, connect two blocks as shown in Fig. 1,
make a total of 3 sets of these.
Step 3: Using the 4 22” pieces, now connect these 3 sets of blocks together shown in Fig. 2. Then add one
to the top and one to the bottom, these will be the top and bottom
of the inner border.
Step 4: Measure your quilt lengthwise, then cut your remaining 2 strips
to this measurement and sew to both sides to complete your inner
border.
Step 5: From the focus fabric, cut 4 strips at 3.5”, then measure your
quilt width wise, use this measurement to cut your top and bottom
outer borders pieces, sew to top and bottom. Then measure your quilt
lengthwise, again use that measurement to cut your side outer borders,
(you many need to piece with leftover pieces to get to desired length).
Step 6: Quilt as desired.
Step 7: From the remaining accent fabric, cut 5 strips at 2.5” and bind your quilt!!
