It is always exciting to read and dream about ad-ventures in distant places. It can be about The Caribbean’s and encounters with big, strong, brutal “salty fishes”, the Kola peninsula and its big trout, Alaska or why not to Patagonia and the newly discovered Jurassic Lake. Besides Loop’s own camps, Jurassic Lake, Las Buitreras and San Ramon, in Patagonia we will, in the near future, offer you to come along on a set of Hosted Trips. These are trips where someone from Loop will accompany you as your tour guide and instructor.

This reel has an even larger arbour and a narrower, uniquely

V-shaped spool. This means a faster retrieve and less coils

MEGALOOP SPEEDRUNNER RUNNER DRYFLY CREEK

OPTiOpti Speedrunner and Opti Megaloop are big as bicycle wheels and spin just as fine. The large arbour allows for a high-speed retrieve when battling high-speed fish. The narrow width of the V-shaped spool makes the line fall into place during the retrieve. Other finesses are the bevelled spool and the ergonomic handle that makes the line slide off without getting tangled.

Zpey rod vs. traditional rod

The protruding position of the bottom hand provides •greater transfer of casting momentum, regardless of the cast style.

The bottom 10 centimetres of the handle adds between •60 and 100 centimetres (depending on the length of the rod) of increased range to the rod tip.

The Zpey handle enables the arms to be held closer to •the body without affecting the range, thus allowing the user to cast just as long, while using less power and shorter movements, as well as significantly reducing strain on the body.

This goes for all fishing, but in fly fishing the line is in high extent the tool for effective fishing. In fly fishing, presentation is the name of the game. Long, short, deep, shallow, fast, slow, angled, upstream, downstream, overhandcast, underhandcast… Combine the right line with the right gear in the right environment and you have a sensible instrument that gives you advantage over the fish. If you fish a lot under extreme conditions you will need waders with optimal breathing ability and perfect fit. Opti Waders are precisely these kinds of waders. Made from 4-layer and 5-layer breathable membrane with reinforcements on rear and knees. The numbers of seams have been kept to a minimum to reduce the risk of leakage and we have taken away all unnecessary details. But we do not compromise on quality, mobility and function.

The braces are detachable and are fastened to the waist. That means that the upper part easily can be rolled down when no deep wading is required.
