The Premier of New South Wales has
awarded 7 Gold Certificates to readers of
Lismore Public School. Timothy, Braydon,
Jordan, Tommy, Liam, Blair and Stephanie
were all awarded a Gold Certificate for the
Premiers Reading Challenge.
A gold certificate indicates that the students
have successfully completed the Premiers
Reading Challenge for four years. The
combined total of books read over the 4
years would be 840 books. This is an
outstanding effort by our students.

Only three weeks to go and so much to do
Over the next three weeks Years 5 and 6 will be off on excursions. This week we have our volunteers morning tea, our
carols night and sports assembly. During the last week reports will be issued and we have our annual presentation
assembly. Our Year 6 graduation and our Christmas parties will also take place in the last week.
Lots to do.
Volunteers Morning Tea
We held a morning tea this morning for all our volunteers. It was great to see all the volunteers turn up and enjoy some
time together. The school is very appreciative of their time and commitment to our school. Volunteers play a very important
role in our school community and we thank them very much.

guidance of Ms Williams and the Lake Ainsworth staff. I am sure both experiences will be very rewarding for the students
involved.

Lismore High School Students
At last Friday’s assembly the school captains from Lismore High School attended
our assembly and spoke to the students about their time at high school.
Both students were ex Lismore Public Students. They spoke about the
opportunities given to them at our school and answered questions from students.
They then spoke to Year 5/6 students on their experiences at Lismore High.
We thank Lismore High for giving us this opportunity.
