July 17, 2020
Learning Moves Outdoors
Maximizing our outdoor space for learning and activities
Installation of commercial grade, waterproof tents on campus
Enhancements to the Elementary & Secondary School Online Learning Platform
Through Robot Technology, Swivl,Lincoln students who are at home will be able to view the teacher through live streaming and screencasting while the class is on campus. In addition to our other online teaching tools, students in different time zones will be able to view recorded lessons online. This technology will allow students to be connected to the teacher through attending class, live broadcasts and recorded sessions.
Swivl Robot Technology
The Marker provides a microphone and a signal to follow for the robot.
As you can see, the the Ipad captures and
broadcasts the image, sound,
and video.
This is called a Swivl. It is a robotic tracking and
recording system that allows a teacher to walk around the
room while the device follows the teacher, recording
or broadcasting the video.
Facilities Use
During our time on
campus, students will take full advantage of the
Lincoln School facilities including the pool,
gymnasium, turfed playing field, outdoor courts and
turfed playgrounds.
Public Health Resources: Campus
Campus Safety Enhancements from US State Department COVID Grant Funding
Public Health Resources: Sanitation Stations
With personal hygiene as a focus, we have installed a variety of resources to promote
student, teacher, and staff safety on campus.
Public Health Resources: Training
The Lincoln School Response Team and Public Health Specialist, Dr. Bernadette Kumar have conducted in depth safety training with all Lincoln School Staff.
Education and training will remain an important aspect of building skills and capacity among Lincoln School staff
and students.
Public Health Resources:Transportation
Plexiglass Shields have been installed on all our buses to separate the driver
cabin from the passenger cabin. Buses will carry
reduced student numbers to ensure
safe distancing. Temperature checks will be conducted for
all transportation access and safe
ventilation will be prioritized.
Shields on buses are effective in providing:
● Safe separation between the driver and passenger cabins.
● Distancing barriers to help reduce exposure and cross-contamination.
● Effective solutions against droplets from coughing or sneezing.
Public Health Resources:
Risk Mitigation
● Mandatory face masks ● Hands free faucets and soap
dispensers installation (installation in progress)
● Touch free water bottle filling stations (on order)
● Student stop spots for arrival and dismissal
● Cones and hula hoops mark the stop where students line up to ensure social distancing
