3. Without boundaries What is Crime? took Criminology students
away from exclusively producing 2,500 word essays. Introduced
different disciplines into their studies and contributed to a much
needed visual criminology. Appropriate for contemporary HE and the
edgeless university?
4. The open revolution? In 2010-11 we participated in the
"Cascading Social Sciences Open Educational Resources" project
funded by JISC (Joint Information Systems Committee) and undertaken
by C-SAP (the Centre for Sociology, Anthropology and Politics).
OERs are:teaching, learning and research materials in anymedium,
digital or otherwise, that reside in the publicdomain or have been
released under an open license thatpermits no-cost access, use,
adaptation and redistributionby others with no or limited
