Our Region is scheduled to
host ODMA meet in 2013 The Historic Fredericksburg Region will be hosting the
annual ODMA meet in Fredericksburg in 2013. This pre-
sents a big challenge to our club since we will have to plan
and put on two major events back to back, the ODMA meet
in May and our annual car show in June. We will need a
significant commitment from our members to assist in any
way they can.

Doug; Lin Bourne, Wally Hunt and myself attended the Fairfax Show on May19th. It was hosted by the Northern VA. Early Ford V-8 Club and was held on the grounds of the Fairfax Court-house. This show is co-hosted by the City of Fairfax and is open to all cars and trucks. It always attracts a wide variety of vehicles, from Model T's to Lamborghinis. This year marked at least a dozen years in a row for great weather and it attracted an impressive number of cars from classic Packards to modern Cobras. The NVRG V-8 Club is a group of truly dedicated and willing work-ers so I strongly advise giving this meet a looksee. Wally participated in the Model T Club's take down and assemble demonstration as scheduled for our own show on June 2nd. Lin Bourne won a fine trophy for "best Commercial" for his 1937 ford pickup truck. Nice going Lin. This show en-tails enduring some Northern VA. traffic for sure but overall it is a really nice way to spend a Sat-urday in May in a beautiful setting so why not give it a try next year? Jason Javaras
