Hello,
We are excited that God may be stirring in your heart and leading you to explore and learn more about a truly rewarding service to the Lord and his church. As current seminarians studying for the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis with the Seminaries of St. Paul, we would like to share with you our own experiences in the path of discernment, the formation process, and the various tracks of college seminary, pre-theology, and major seminary but also the blessings and challenges that come with seminarian life. Like you, many of us went to this same retreat just a few years ago. Discernment is a process and an act of faith however we are finding greater clarity in our own vocational discernment. It will be a blessing to meet you and hear about your walk with the Lord!

Dear Brothers in Christ,
I frequently hear men say, “Father, I’m not sure…but I think maybe God is calling me to be a priest!” Understanding our vocational calling is not always easy. If this is true for you, I recommend that you attend the Archbishop’s Discernment Retreat. This is a wonderful opportunity to gain clarity in your discernment process. You will also meet other men who desire to follow Christ and to know his will for their lives.
Our retreat leader will be Archbishop Bernard. In addition to the talks given by Archbishop Hebda, there will be times of prayer, an opportunity for the Rite of Reconciliation, times of recreation, and plenty of great food!
If you have any questions please contact the Office of Vocations at 651.962.6890 or email [email protected]/all-events or complete and return the form on the right.
