POWDER CONCENTRATES
( First Revision)
o. FOREWORD
0.1 This Indian Standard (First Revision) was adopted by the IndianStandards Institution on 30 November 1984, after the draft finalized by thePest Control Sectional Committee had been approved by the Agriculturaland Food Products Division Council and the Chemical Division Council.0.2 Diazinon water dispersible powder concentrates are used for thecontrol of diseases of agricultural crops.0.3 Diazinon water dispersible powder concentrates are generallymanufactured to contain 40 percent (m/m) of diazinon.0.4 In the preparation of this standard, due consideration has been givento the provisions of the Insecticides Act, 1968 and the Rules framedthereunder. However. this standard is subject to the restrictions imposedunder these, wherever applicable.0.5 This standard was first published in 1964 and two amendments wereissued subsequently. This standard is being revised to update itsrequirements.0.6 For the purpose of deciding whether a particular requirement of thisstandard is complied with, the final value, observed or calculated, expressing the result of a test or analysis, shall be rounded off inaccordance with IS : 2-1960·. The number of significant places retainedin the rounded off value should be the same as that of the specified valuein this standard.
I. SCOPE1.1 This standard prescribes the requirements and the methods ofsamplingand test for diazinon water dispersible powder concentrates.
-Rules for rounding off numerical values ( rlDisld ).

2.1.1 Diazinon, technical employed in the manufacture of thismaterial shall conform to IS : 1833-1980*.
2.1.2 The filler, dispersing and wetting agents, and other ingredientsemployed in the manufacture of diazinon water dispersible powderconcentrates shall be comparable with diazinon, technical.2.2 The material shall also comply with the requirements given in Table 1.
