Introduction
The Internship Program at CAS is designed to enhance the education of undergraduate
students through meaningful off-‐campus work experience. Students are allowed to earn
academic credit for their successful completion of a specific period of off-‐campus
fieldwork or internship. The policies outlined are designed to enhance the quality of the
internship program and provide a basic framework. Meanwhile, the academic
department is responsible for outlining the details of internships and fieldwork in each
department according to program needs. Each program must have an Internship
Committee with a designated Chair.
Internship & Fieldwork Training Program Objectives:
The overall objective of the internship program is to enhance the student’s educational
program by providing supervised practical training related to their professional
interests. The main objectives of the program are:
1-‐ To provide students with off-‐campus work experiences that complement on-‐
campus classroom education.
2-‐ To provide an avenue for outside parties and stakeholders to help promote the
educational development of prospective employees.
3-‐ To provide opportunities for students to improve their communication skills, and
to set goals for the future.
General Requirements:

to acknowledge (by signing the attached “Internship & Fieldwork Guidelines

committee’s responsibilities are:
1-‐ Setting detailed guidelines for the internship which match the department’s
objectives and vision.
