IMS EUROPE With over 525 member organizations—representing leading suppliers, colleges and universities, school districts, states, and government ministries worldwide—IMS Global Learning Consortium (www.imsglobal.org) is accelerating the advancement of educational technology and innovation through its community-owned open interoperability standards and unparalleled collaboration.
The IMS community is focused on five key areas that enable educational institutions to fully leverage the benefits of digital technology now and in the future.
European institutions and organizations have provided strong leadership in IMS Global throughout its over 20-year history. The IMS Europe Board is the entity within the IMS community that drives efforts in Europe, focusing on:
• Ensuring IMS standards meet the needs and interests of European members by documenting local requirements and use cases and ensuring representation on active project groups.
• Increasing awareness and adoption of IMS standards in Europe by producing informational materials targeting the European educational marketplace, participating in and presenting about IMS at relevant European conferences, and establishing long-term partnerships with European institutions.
• Hosting an annual IMS Europe Summit (imsglobal.org/event/europe2019) designed to showcase the trends and initiatives that are shaping the digital learning ecosystem across Europe.
Join peers and colleagues at the October 2019 Summit in Barcelona, Spain, to explore the latest developments and achievements in digital credentialing, assessment, plug-and-play interoperability, and integrated analytics. Participants come from around the globe, but mostly from European countries. You do not have to be a member of IMS Global Learning Consortium to attend the IMS Europe Summit.
Sponsorship opportunities are still available. For event details, the latest schedule and session information, and to register visit imsglobal.org/event/europe2019.
