FOREWORDThe new issue of Dazzle celebrates the achievements and award-winning works of students from
HKDI and IVE (LWL). The success of our students attests the effectiveness of HKDI and IVE (LWL)
approach to nurture creative thinking, cultural sensitivity and global perspective through
contemporary curriculum and active collaboration with academic and industry partners.
Participation in local and international competitions enables students to hone their skills in
real-world situations and to face competitive challenges. These experiences not only broaden
their perspectives but also empower them to become active contributors to the creative industry
in the global scale.
It is increasingly important for creative professionals to take an active role in enhancing the
way we live. The interdisciplinary approach adopted by HKDI and IVE (LWL) offers students a
supportive environment to explore and address various issues in the larger socio-cultural context.
This publication demonstrates how students infuse their creativity, imagination and professional
knowledge into functional and outstanding designs that represent social innovation and offer
creative solutions to existing problems.
We are proud to present to you our students whose works have been recognised internationally
by industry experts and jury panels of various competitions, as they embark on their creative
journey as designers, social innovators, impact entrepreneurs, and most importantly,
a new generation of creative professionals and critical thinkers.
