HIV/AIDS IN TARRANT COUNTY, 2008-2012

New HIV/AIDS cases by race/ethnicity, Tarrant County, 2008‐2012

New HIV/AIDS cases by age group, Tarrant County, 2008‐2012

Overall, the rate of new HIV/AIDS cases decreased 15% from 2008 to 2012. However, the rate increased 36%

among residents aged 15 to 24 years andincreased 12% among non-Hispanic black men.

Non-Hispanic black men aged 15-24 years make up1% of the Tarrant County population,

but accounted for 16% of new HIV infections.
