Take control with Hiab Weighing systemsAchieving more with the right toolWhen it comes to lifting goods, there is always one central issue that needs to be made clear: the weight of the load. This only used to be important to make sure that the lifting capacity of the crane and the payload capacity of the truck were sufficient to handle the load. Nowadays there is an increasing demand to have exact data available on how heavy goods are. Recording exact weights is often a basis for invoices and insurance; helps an operator make decisions on future investments and could provide factual evidence in case of legal disputes. Hiab’s weighing systems are practical and reliable. They perform accurately even when weighing moving loads and are designed to last for many years in tough environments. Which weighing system suits you?

Way beyond weighingHiab offers three main weighing systems, each of them available in different variants and each of them expand-able to match your changing requirements perfectly. Whether you occasionally need a rough weight indication or continuously need accurate weighing data for your business administration, Hiab has the optimal system solution. All Hiab’s weighing systems are wireless, maintenance free and perform accurately even while moving a load. Apart from solutions including the LSH 125 weighing hook, all our weighing solutions comply with existing accuracy norms.

Standard systemWith the Standard system you can weigh and see the weight value on the monochrome display of a convenient hand-held wireless unit. Data for up to 16 customers,

goods or other items can be stored in the memory banks of the unit.Besides a robustly designed cover the unit also features basic calculation facilities, such as adding, subtracting and taring (to compensate for the weight of a lifting tool).

Pro systemThe Pro system features a hand-held wireless computer with a colour touch screen display to receive and process weighing data. In addition to advanced calculations the special software can handle vast amounts of customer, load and order data, for example as a base for later business administration. The computer can, of course, be programmed and used for other purposes, using standard Microsoft software. The robust design makes this computer very suitable for mobile, outdoor use.

Which weighing system suits you?

For further processing of the weighing data simply connect it via the desktop docking station and using a USB-cable to a computer. You can also send data to, and print a receipt on, the portable printer via Bluetooth.

Automatic systemIf your daily business requires continuous weight control, the Automatic system meets your needs. The hand-held wireless computer features a monochrome touch screen display, alphabetic keyboard and six memory banks to keep track of data on customers, goods or other items. It also supports three modes of load registrations, which can all be set according to your current requirements. When set on “Fully automatic”, a pre-set timer decides the point of registration. When switched to “Semi automatic”, a button has to be pressed to accept registration. When set “Fully manual”, each step of the registration process

requires button pressing. The robust design makes the computer very suitable for mobile, outdoor use.For further processing of the weighing data simply connect it via the desktop docking station using a USB-cable to a computer.

Weighing hooksHiab offers three different weighing hooks that are wireless, maintenance free and easy to attach. They differ from each other in weighing capacity. Please note that the largest weighing hook is not certified for invoic-ing purposes.

Weighing linksA weighing link replaces the upper link between the crane boom tip and the rotator. Two different capacities are available both fitting Hiab’s rotators KM 04 and CR 55.

Portable printerThermal printer – links directly via Bluetooth for the Pro system. Ease of carrying facilitates printouts of receipts etc. directly at loading site. The printer comes complete with battery charger and equipment required for installation.

Weighing while movingThe time has past when the load had to hang completely still and precisely vertical. All Hiab’s scales are equipped with a motion sensor that provides for accurate weighing during movement. This puts Hiab in a unique market position. But – much more important – it makes every job extremely fast.

Freedom and flexibilityAll parts in a Hiab’s weighing system communicate wirelessly. The weighing scale sends its information to the hand-held unit by a fast and secure radio connection. The Pro hand-held unit can communicate with an office PC via the desktop docking station and a USB-cable. It can also send data to a portable printer via Bluetooth for instant invoicing.

Complete packages save timeAs usual for Hiab Accessories, we offer a number of complete packages that consist of carefully selected matching parts. A weighing system package always comes with a weighing scale, two batteries, a hand-held wireless unit with a combined battery charger/docking station for use in the vehicle, and weighing software. If you have special requirements, for example integration of our software with your existing software, we are happy to assist you.

Complete packagesA weighing system package always comes with a weighing scale, two batteries, a hand-held wireless unit with a truck-mounted charger station, and weighing software. If you have special adaptation requirements we are happy to assist you.

Hiab meets with accuracy normsComplying with recommendations, legislation and regulations is essential to Hiab and to Hiab’s customers. Hiab’s weighing systems are therefore packaged to meet with the recommendations of the International Organiza-tion of Legal Metrology. OIML is a treaty organization providing recommendations (OIML R) that establish the metrological characteristics required of certain measuring instruments and specifying how to verify their conformity.Our weighing scales are wireless and maintenance free. Most of them meet the OIML R60 norm. Each scale is equipped with a motion sensor that provides accurate weighing during movement. Naturally, Hiab’s complete weighing systems also meet the terms stipulated. For instance, both the Standard system and the Pro system featuring Hiab’s XW-scales, comply with the OIML R76 norm. The Automatic system, with the same scales, complies with the OIML R51 norm given that the system is set in manual mode. These two norms comprise a complete system and require the scales included to meet the OIML R60 norm.
