Red Around the World
In China red symbolizes celebration and luck, used in many cultural ceremonies that range from funerals to weddings.
In India red is the color of purity (used in wedding outfits).
GREEN
Green
Associated with spring, youth, the environment
Makes people feel calm
Colour of envy, nausea, poison and decay
Green Around the World
In China, green hats mean a man's wife is cheating on him; it is not a good colour for packaging.
In France studies have indicated green is not a good colour choice for packaging either.
In India green is the color of Islam. In Ireland green has religious
significance (Catholic).
YELLOW
Yellow
Associated with sun and light
Has the highest reflection value
Colour seen first when against black
Colour of illness, cowardice (-), and happiness, hope (+)
Yellow Around the World
In Asia yellow is sacred, and imperial.
The yellow rose is a symbol of friendship, less passionate or threatening than red ones.
BLUE
Blue
Associated with the sky and water
Represents spirituality
Signifies detachment, peace, distance
Color of depression, cold and introversion
Blue Around the World In China, blue is associated with
immortality. In Colombia, blue is associated with
soap. For Hindus blue is the color of Krishna. For the Jews, blue symbolizes holiness. In the Middle East blue is a protective
color.
Blue is often considered to be the safest global color.
Complementary Colors
Colors that are opposite on the color wheel are called complementary colors.
They make an impression when used together.
Hue
Hue means the name of the color!› Hot pink› Lime green› Powder blue
Hex Codes
Each hue has a different hex code, or six-digit number that means what color it is.
In Photoshop, you can customize the exact color that you want.
Shade
Shade is the different amounts of a color that are added. The most red is on the left and as the level goes down red turns to black.

First, tell me which colours you think would use for advertising

colours? Then, using Photoshop work together to design a simple
logo.
