Gunnebo GrabiQ
The all-inclusive chain sling system for coupling, shortening and lifting in grade 10.
Gunnebo GrabiQ sling system is designed to improveand make your lifting as quick and easy as possible.GrabiQ means for example;
25% additional strength in the new grade 10material.All top assemblies consist of no more than threecomponents.Shortening function of chain legs is integral withno extra components.
The already included shortening function, for example, means that a four-part sling which previously required up to thirteen different topcomponents now needs only three in the GrabiQ system.
The German Berufsgenossenschaften (BG) launched in the beginning of 2004 a new specification for Grade 10 components, Gunnebo has passed this new specification as one of the first companies in the world.
Our products are approved by leading safety authorities such as BG (DE), AIB, SABS, MOD(UK), NATO and we are ISO 9001 certified by Lloyd’s Register.

The midgrab allowsinstant mounting,positioning andshortening on anypart of the chain.
Built in short-ening function
The option of shortening is always there. Every chain leg can instantly be altered from staight lift to a loop sling by using
the shortening pocket.
With C-lok as terminal fitting the sling can bealtered between choke hitch, basket hitch
and leg extension with flattened links.
Oversized or squared shaped master links are idealfor use with large crane hooks (e.g. DIN15401)
With the flexibility of the GrabiQ system a numberof different lifting situations can be solved using
the same GrabiQ sling
The C-parts are designed to allow for correct sizeof wire rope thimble to be fitted into the eye. This
opens the way for new ideal combinations ofchain and wire rope slings.

Assymmetric loading conditionFor unequally loaded chain slings we recommend that theWorking Load Limits be detemined as follows:ƒU2-leg slings calculated as the corresponding 1-leg slingsƒU3-leg and 4-leg slings calculated as corresponding 2-leg slings.
Severe environmentGrade 8 chain and components must not be used in alkaline oracidic conditions.Comprehensive and regular examination must be carried outwhen using Grade 8 equipment in severe or corrosion inducingenvironments.In uncertain situations consult your distributor.
Extreme temperature conditionsFor G8 chain slings the "in-service" temperature of the wholeor part of the chain sling affects the Working Load Limit as fol-lows:
Upon return to normal temperature the sling reverts to its fullcapacity. G8 chain slings should not be used above or belowthese temperature limits.
