Learning Goals Being a good citizen means that you have
rights, freedoms, and responsibilities. Voting is an important responsibility. Government provides us with services
people want and need. In order to pay for services, governments
need to collect taxes. Government makes laws and decides if
laws have been broken. The president is the leader of the United
States of America
Citizen
A citizen is a member of a community.
Citizens have freedoms, rights, and responsibilities.
As a citizen it is our responsibility to obey the laws, to pay taxes, and to vote.
Citizens Citizens vote for our leaders. Voting is an
important responsibility!
