GF Engineering was established in 1973 with a focus to provide excellence in stainless steel, carbon
and exotic pipe fabrication.
In 1999 we established our ISO 9001 accreditation and ISO 3834 pt:2 in 2010. Our commitment
was to provide a comprehensive range of specialist pipe fabrication services to the Oil, Gas,
Chemical, Power Generation and Mining markets within Western Australia.
In 2000, we developed proven specialist welding expertise in carbon steels, stainless steels
and exotic steels such as Titanium, Inconel, ST/ST Duplex’s, Copper Nickel, Etc. We were
now recognised as becoming Western Australia’s premium pipe fabricator developing an
understanding on all aspects of piping requirements relating to oil refining, chemical
processing, power, steam and multi class pressure vessels. It wasn’t long after our ISO
accreditation that we converted to Orbital TIG. These welding units are specialised and
designed for maximum production and efficiency over a large range of complex welding
procedures. Their operators are qualified against the welding procedure specification to
ensure an ongoing high standard of quality and expertise is maintained.
Quality
We have always recognised the importance for a standalone QA and QC department to
represents strict compliance and quality control with ISO 9001. We also developed our
unique numbering system to inspect and register all delivered materials for permanent
traceability throughout the fabrication process.
Our certified inspectors continually monitor each phase of the job in real time to ensure
strict guidelines are met in accordance with ISO 9001 & 3834 certification. We integrate
the monitoring into all phases of the process to ensure the job is regularly checked from the
beginning through to successful completion.
All fabrication, materials, inspections procedures, testing methods and surface treatment
documentation is compiled into a final MDR. Our QA/QC manager will ensure your work is
systematically collated to certify your order is supplied with all the correct and appropriate
documentation. We’re very proud of our reputation and the reason why quality is something

The Orbital TIG is pre-programmed to stay
within the parameters of the approved welding

We have always been at the forefront of any project, so our commitment is to ensure we
support our customers best interests. Our experienced site team of supervisors,
pipefitters and welders all comply with site regulations, permits and safety meetings. All
site based personnel are GF Engineering experienced employees.
In most cases, the majority of the pre-fabrication work usually takes place at our
workshop in Naval Base depending on the type and configuration of the job. Although we
are specialised, we’re also diverse and fabricate a variety of modules, pipe spools,
structural components, complete skids packages, plate work, handrails, stairs, bollards,
pressure vessels class 1,2 & 3, tanks and other complex configurations.

EMERGENCY BREAKDOWN SERVICE
Having the capability of two shifts allows greater versatility to
schedule and prioritise jobs. If breakdowns occur, we can consult,
design, measure, fabricate and install the item promptly pending the
size and complexity of the scope. We are also able to supply
qualified welders to clients for specialised repairs or services.
Our unique capability to respond quickly to breakdowns has
delighted many clients over the years with our ability to genuinely
save costs and reduce lost productivity.
Night shift
Standard Inclusion
There’s not too many fabrication shops that can offer a quick turnaround. We
operate a night shift 5 times per week to overlap our day shift. Our ability to
offer a night shift without penalties is a great advantage if you are in need of
an urgent requirement or to meet a specific end date.

inspection prior to static hydro testing. We work to

GF Engineering is regarded as one of the most accomplished
pipe fabricator in Western Australia using a variety of
techniques to more specialised services throughout the
various resource markets.
The tubes are expanded into a pre-determined recess
into the tube sheets. Once in position the tubes are
expanded in unison to provide an even protrusion of
symmetrical tubes. From here the tubes are finished
off with another special tool. The end result is a perfect
display of even tubes to exacting tolerances.
