GETTING ON GOOGLE HANGOUTS

STEP 1 Download Google Plus into your computer STEP 2 Click the home button on the top on the Google Plus Page

STEP 3 Click the Hangout on Air at the top in the middle of the screen

STEP 4 Click the gold button on the bottom left that says ‘Create a Hangout On Air’

STEP 5 This box pops up next. Name the Hangout & add your description. You will not be able to change it after this step so be careful. You have the option to select ‘NOW’ for your hangout or you can schedule a time later. Choose ‘PUBLIC’ or choose which circle you want to notify of your hangout. Then click ‘SHARE’

STEP 6 This is your Start Screen. Click the ‘START’ button and wait for the Green Quotation Marks. Click the quotation marks

STEP 7 Invite your guests. Some guests may not receive your invite if you use the Google Hangout drop down box. If your guest doesn’t receive your invite, use their personal email and tell them to expect a link to your Hangout in their email.

STEP 8 Notice that my YouTube account is connected to my Google+ page and my YouTube account. You can change this in your Google+ settings. Click the green Invite button.

STEP 9 If your camera is working properly you should see yourself next. Note the “Start Broadcast’ button to go live.

Step 10 If you don’t see yourself and only see your photo, click the camera button above in red and then select your Logitec Camera in the drop down box.

Step 11 Next you will want to set your banner, aka your Lower Third. Click the red toolbox on the left and then click the person in the circle to drop down the option for the lower 3rd. Turn on your lower 3rd in the slider to the right. Put your name in the first box and your web address or company name in the 2nd box. You can also select a color for the top of your lower 3rd. Remember to name and save it.

Note the broadcast button in Green.
