29th November 2012 - Week 7 Term 4
Friday Lunches
This weeks Lunches
American Hotdog $2.50 Oaty Flapjack $1.50
Thanks to Melissa Solly who did lunches for the littlies last week.
School T – Shirts Could we please have all our school t-shirts washed and sent back to school as
soon as possible. Thanks.
Reading Books / Library Books Could you please have a check in bookcases, behind bookcases and under beds
for any school reading or library books that may be lurking around.
We are missing quite a number from our sets of books and we would rather
spend money on purchasing new books for the children rather than buy
replacements.
Soccer Tournament Today Diarmuid has taken a Yr4 boys team to the Nelson / Tasman Schools’ Y4-6
Soccer tournament at Saxton field in Richmond. The team has been practicing for
a while now and are really looking forward to the trip.
The team is: Jaimie, Guy, Danny, Neo, Nico, Joey, Todd and Oscar.
‘Good luck Boys!’
Room 1, 4, 5 Concert at The Playhouse Next week, Room 1, 4 & 5 will be holding their school concert at The Playhouse.
Dates are
Tuesday 3 Dec 1.00pm Dress Rehearsal
Wednesday 4 Dec 1.00pm Matinee Performance
Wednesday 4 Dec 7.00pm Evening Performance
Thursday 5 Dec 7.00pm Evening Performance
We will also be travelling to The Playhouse by bus this Friday, Monday and
Tuesday mornings to practice so would appreciate good attendance.
As The Playhouse has a limit of 97 seats we have to sell tickets so get in quick
and don’t rely on door sales.
Tickets can be purchased from the office at $2 a person or $5 a family.
There will also be raffle ticket sales for the Amazing Dolls House at $2 a ticket,
which would be a tremendous Xmas present for some lucky person.
School Camps Thanks to all those who have quickly responded to our camp notices. We are
currently waiting for final notices to come back in and we will be in
touch with parents early next week to let you know what is happening.
School Accounts On Monday there will be a statement going out for this term.
We would appreciate if everyone could clear up their
accounts by the first week of December and that all camps are paid for
before the children head off.
If you are struggling to pay your accounts please come and see Kirsten
or Mark in the office and we can help make a plan with you. Motupipi School Contact Details:

Golden Schools Athletic Sports Last Friday, all our 7-11 year olds took part in the Golden Bay Schools’ Athletic Sports,
which were held at the GBHS grounds.
We had been training the children up, as well as having our own sports the previous
week, so the children were well prepared.
The training certainly paid off with some great personal results as well as success with
getting placed in the top three in their age group at each event and some going
through to be overall champions.
The staff were rapt with the effort the children put in and the support they gave to
their teammates.
Overall Champions from Motupipi are:
