New Council of Presidents of Filipino American Chambers of Commerce of Southern California Formed
JUNE 9, 2013, LOS ANGELES, CA --- Former Philippine President Fidel V. Ramos celebrated with the
newly-formed Council of Presidents of Filipino American Chambers of Commerce of Southern California.
Committed to a major effort in increasing the economic empowerment initiatives of the Southern California
region, the five chambers are collaborating on "Federation 2013," the Bi-National Conference that will be held
in Los Angeles on November 8-10, 2013. The conference is organized by the Federation of Philippine
American Chambers of Commerce (FPACC) and hosted by the Filipino American Chamber of Commerce-Los
Angeles (FACC-LA).
The Chair of the Council is Jun Jao, president of the FACC of Orange County. Councilmembers include Mary
Ann Omega, president of the FACC of Los Angeles (San Fernando Valley), Felix Lopez, president of the
FACC of South East Corridor, Johnny Chua, FACC of the San Gabriel Valley and Evelyn Andamo, president of
the FACC of the South Bay of LA Area.
The historic formation of a broad coalition of Filipino American business organizations in 1995 which
eventually evolved into the Federation of Philippine American Chambers of Commerce (FPACC.net) had been
inspired by President Ramos and implemented by its founding President, humanitarian Yolanda Stern. For more
