F.A.C.T. (Franklin Area Children’s

Theatre) presents The Magic in Me

July 29, 2016

Equipped with

nothing more

than a toy

shovel and

pail, little Do-Nothing Dale appears to be a wizard in

name only. Laughed at and excluded by her

colleagues, Magnificent Mervin and Wonder Wanda,

Dale sets out on a journey to find her own “little bit

of magic.” Queen Marilyn Melody of Musicland and

Coco the Clown, King of Laughterland, do their best

to help her, but it’s not until her encounter with the

evil Weatherman on the Planet of Sad Flowers that

Dale discovers just what it is that makes her unique.

F.A.C.T. (Franklin Area Children’s

Theatre) presents

Willy Wonka, Jr.

August 19-20, 2016

The delicious adventures

experienced by Charlie Bucket on his visit to Willy

Wonka's mysterious chocolate factory light up the

stage in this captivating adaptation of Roald Dahl's

fantastical tale. Featuring the enchanting songs from

the 1971 film starring Gene Wilder in addition to a

host of fun new songs, Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka

JR. is a scrumdidilyumptious musical guaranteed to

delight everyone's sweet tooth.

Mellow Yellow

Friday, August 5, 2016

(FHS Alumni Weekend)

A night of complete audio and video retro candy, with Mellow Yellow

offering perfect versions of songs from Donovan (from whom, of course, the

band takes its name), The Supremes, The Beatles, The Moody Blues,

Jefferson Airplane, all performed in fun familiarity. The band wears

appropriately groovy '60s gear and offers a video component, mixing news

clips and groovy, sock-it-to-ya, '60s visuals.

New Hampshire Fiddle Orchestra, Sunday, April 9, 2017, 2:00 pm

We’re pleased to host the New Hampshire Fiddle Orchestra at

the Franklin Opera House, presenting the finest fiddlers from

our region led by Ellen Carlson. This performance caps

a series of rehearsals and performances throughout the region,

and benefits the operations of the Opera House. The ensemble

provides a place for musicians of all ages and experience levels

to come together and learn the basics of performance,

musicianship, reading sheet music, all in the traditional manner

(learning by ear). The Fiddle Orchestra presents fun music in a

variety of traditions - Irish, old-time, Cajun, and Swing - plus

singing and dancing.

Bryson Lang has entertained thousands around

the world with his creative, high-energy, family-

friendly Comedy–Juggling act. Bryson’s show

combines technical juggling skills with original

comedy into a unique and unforgettable act.

Steve Kradolfer is an amazing and entertaining

magician. Utilizing a razor sharp wit and two of

the most lethal hands in the business, Steve has

entertained for over 20 years, combining

ancient conjuring secrets, innovative

psychological strategies and good, old-

fashioned fun.

Neptune’s Car (Holly Hanson and Steve Hayes) is

an acoustic duo from Massachusetts and New

Hampshire who play original, Contemporary Folk

music. Their three albums have appeared on many

"Best of" lists. The 45th Parallel charted at #2 in

February 2015 and included two #5 songs, "The

45th Parallel" and "A Blue Sky Turned to Rust.
